We can have women's only gyms. But the minute a 70-year-old male barber politely refuses and apologizes profusely for not feeling adequate enough in his profession to be able to deliver as quality a service as is his honed craft it becomes National News and a complaint at the human Rights commission.

The experience left her feeling “a little bit angry, but more shocked and hurt.”

“It was scary and it was upsetting,” she said.

Chick here. Best haircut of my life was from a barber. I wanted a short cut w/ a fade on the sides. 4 beauty shops tried to talk me out of it or convince me to get a feminine pixie cut. I brought pics to a barber and he was magical.

If he told me "No can do, never done women's hair" I might have asked "You sure? I have a guy's style I am going for?" And if he said nah, not sure I can pull it off and make you look good... well, off to the next shop or stylist.

My current stylist is shitty with textured hair. She could do a basic clipper cut etc for a black guy, but has always been up front w/ black women. She is just not good at dealing with tight curls, afros, perming etc. But, 2 other stylists at the salon are, and she refers them to her coworkers. No racism. Just not good at the styling needed.

This chick is just looking for how to be a victim.

maybe this man is uncomfortable with women because of the close proximity he will have to be with a female client will put him at risk of a sexual assault accusation if he touches her by accident.

The human rights code says that intent to discriminate is not the test. The test is the effect of the conduct. The effect on the person is what’s going to be looked at,

This is astonishing. I feel so gross being an Ontario resident knowing our human rights tribunal operates with this as its mandate.
