I think misandry is undeniably real and every bit as abhorrent and harmful as misogyny, but unlike it's counterpart, it's gone unchecked and been allowed to fester. It's disturbing how many people genuinely don't believe it to be real or will claim it's nowhere near as big an issue as misogyny, even though misogyny gets a great deal of attention and action taken. In the U.K. it was seriously considered making misogyny a hate crime but not misandry, which right there goes to show how misandry is always treated as a joke when it's not at all. Boys badly falling behind in schools and comprising the majority of dropouts, potentially innocent men denied due process when accused of doing something improper with a woman or girl, men still required to register for the draft, few to no abuse shelters for male victims, constant failure to recognize that men are also victims of violence/abuse/rape/etc. (especially by women); this is all a consequence of misandry not being taken seriously.

Misandry and misogyny are both real and as ugly as each other, and this is a plain fact. It's time for the former to be taken as seriously and regarded with the same disgust as the latter and have the same amount of action taken. It's disturbing and infuriating to see misandry not being regarded as real and treated like a joke. There's nothing funny whatsoever about it and the consequences as a result of it constantly being dismissed.
