Your information is pretty accurate. Also upon turning 18yrs of age, all males must sign up for the 'Seletive Service' (AKA The Draft) in order to vote, apply for Gov't backed college loans, apply for Gov't jobs. If you dont register with the system, you can be fined up to $250,000, and sent to prison for up to 5 years.

Yes, it's true. It's BS and currently being called into question with growing support to either include all genders or eliminate the draft. It's doubtful the draft will be eliminated so the more likely solution is to follow the current trend of eliminating gender criteria for military services and add women to the draft registration when they turn 18.

The original court decision in the 1980's was based on the fact that women were still barred from combat roles. Since that's not the case anymore the draft registration requirements are to be updated by congress. Considering congress is fighting over things like abortion access, infrastructure, climate change, student loans, and voting rights it probably won't change in the next decade.

Men are required to sign up for the draft. Women are not required to sign up for the draft. It is a double standard. I believe that trans need to do what is required based in the gender assigned at birth.

I think it is more about how in 1971 18-20 year Olds we're given the right to vote largely because people ft like if you were old enough to die for your country then you were old enough to vote

Yes and no. Yes you required to register with the Selective Service which is a registration if there should be a draft. No it is not a draft in the traditional sense.

I believe that used to be the case before women were given the right to vote, but it is no longer the case. However I think it's kinda moot either way since you are required to register when you turn 18 anyways, below are the consequences if you do not register from the usa.gov website.

If you are required to register and you do not, you will not be eligible for state-based student aid in many states, federal job training, or a federal job. You may be prosecuted and face a fine of up to $250,000 and jail time of up to five years. If you’re an immigrant to the U.S., you will not be eligible for citizenship.
