My female professor mentioned in lecture that men are often told that they aren't allowed to feel vulnerable or to express emotion without being shot down, etc., followed directly by the quote "and that's bullshit."

Professor is a relatively outspoken left-wing mid-30s woman. I would say feminist but I don't think she's full "male tears" so to speak. Definitely not who I'd expect to say that but I'm glad she did.

A very pleasant surprise in a gen-ed lecture I usually hate. A nice change from guys getting discouraged from talking about this, especially in American universities.
