I recently read this article about Secretary of State John Kerry goading Edward Snowden into facing the American justice system by saying telling him to "Man Up" and thought, there has got to be a discussion about this somewhere...

My thoughts: You know phrases like "be a man" and "man up" things like that. They really piss me off. It is like being a man comes with some kind of stipulations. Does anyone else think that comments like this only hurts society?

I personally think that it is a huge disservice to everyone to hold a belief that being a man means anything more than having a specific set of chromosomes and the physiological consequences thereof.
