Not too long ago I was having a casual conversation about feminism with my sister (I am the brother). Just as we got onto the topic of rape my mum walked past and said, without hesitation, "Men can't be raped." She then walked out of the room without any further discussion

This statement really struck a nerve, first of all, it was the first time I had ever had a massive difference in opinion with my parents, secondly, the way she said it was so blunt and definite and thirdly, the way she walked away like she did not need to explain her opinion.

Am I wrong to feel so offended by this or am I being reasonable. What are your opinions.
