Amnesty International supports legalization. They came to this conclusion after interviewing thousands upon thousands of sex workers in countries around the world. About 90 percent of sex workers support legalization. The other 10 percent are pimps (both male and female).

Why do feminists and tradcons think they have the right to tell women (and men for that matter) what they can do with their bodies?

Sex workers also reject the Nordic model. Said model seems to be a "win win" for feminists because it only criminalizes the buyer (almost always a male). However, sex workers in the Nordic countries reject criminalization entirely, and say that the feminist model also drives sex workers underground, making their lives more dangerous.

Keeping prostitution illegal also spreads STD's and encourages organized crime (just like the drug war).

Finally, and I realize no one cares about this, but it's important -- some men are simply too ugly, or too disabled, or too autistic, to secure the affections of a woman. Should these men (and some women) go their entire lives without sex and romantic contact when there are women who would gladly offer them some relief? I think that's cruel.

So how to explain feminist opposition to legalizing prostitution, considering that it would help (mostly female) sex workers and make it less likely they'll be killed by some deranged serial killer? In truth, a fairly sizable proportion of feminists support legalization. In Canada, about 70 percent of the left supported the Supreme Court's decision to decriminalize; however, the more virulently anti-male feminists created an alliance with the right to ensure it would remain illegal (for men), and adopted the Nordic model.

Feminists are sufficiently powerful that they could have probably reversed this decision by appeals to "misogyny" or whatever. But they basically let it slide, because it gives all feminists a certain satisfaction to see men being harmed. And also because female opposition to porn, prostitution etc. is not rooted in logic but instinct:

Short response for now because I don't have much time:

1) Important distinction: the recommended approach is not legalisation but rather decriminalisation. Decrim means that sex work is treated no different to any other job. Legalisation often leaves a lot of regulation in place that ultimately causes problems. For example: Germany has legalisation with strict rules around who can run a brothel and the end result is there are only a handful of approved owners who've cornered the market in a form of oligopoly, leaving sex workers with little freedom or negotiating power.

2) Every relevant organisation that sets policy based on evidence rather than ideology has settled on decriminalisation as their recommended approach:

3) The only 2 places in the world with full decriminalisation of sex work are the state of NSW, Australia and New Zealand. Both have achieved spectacularly good outcomes, such as: zero sex trafficking victims, extremely low rates of STIs among sex workers (in NSW the rate is significantly lower among sex workers than in the general community) and very low rates of theft or violence against sex workers. Basically everything that feminists say they want to achieve comes through decriminalisation (other than stopping women from doing sex work at all, of course).

4) The Nordic model (criminalising only buyers) has been a disaster everywhere it's been tried: sex workers forced into poverty, rates of crime and violence against sex workers soaring, human trafficking rates haven't fallen or have even increased, etc. There are some signs that Canada may reverse course in the near future and decriminalise; if that happens hopefully it may start a trend. But the best way to solve the problem of the Nordic model is simply for people to vote out the feminist governments that introduced it.

I can only speak personally but I see no difference between money earned by the strength of your back or laying on your back. Legalize and regulate it like any other profession it would cut down on a lot of the issues just like we saw with alcohol prohibition.

What is the stance of the MRA movement on prostitution?

I don't consider myself an MRA on the grounds that I don't do any activism, however I am sympathetic to their cause to a great degree.

That being said, prostitution is "illegal" in my nation (Mexico) but exceptions are made for "red zones" also known as "zones of tolerance".

In these zones, prostitution is just fine, as long as people comply with a couple of regulations (Health check ups at least twice a year, pay a fee to the govt. because the govt. can't really tax prostitution... it's a small fee and hidden under bullshit so it doens't look like tax), and I think this is the correct way of handling it.

Have all sorts of crazy prostitution, drugs, etc.... but keep it in a specific area where it can be contained and controlled.

Prostitutes are naturally VERY forward about sex and soliciting a deal, I would not want this anywhere near my place of work, or if I had a family, near them.

They only arrest the men who buy or try to buy prostitutes, basically because they are men and therefore evil, while leaving the wimmins alone because they are women, and women are always victims of men no matter what

Ironically, I have talked to prostitutes about that kind of thing and they say they'd be furious. Each man harassed , detained or arrested is a man that will no longer seek their services, or at least not that particular woman's services. It fucks up the revenue for the prostitute and they are heavily against it (obviously).

By the way, I'm not a drinker, but protip, if you are like me and need to drink alone once in awhile, there is no better place to do it than a strip club full of prostitutes. It's the one place where both men and women alike will leave you completely alone aside from the occasional dancer asking for a buck.

I never thought I'd believe the "seriously, I go for the chicken wings!" argument, but I legitimately don't go for the women or the alcohol. I just like being left alone.... and what with men slapping women's asses, and women shoving their tits in men's faces, one guy alone with his drink is something that almost always goes ignored......

I'm not sure about the legality of gigaloes, but the logic is that they want prostitution criminalized, but by targeting the buyers you don't risk harming workers who were forced into it.

I live in Denmark and I believe the laws here only prohibit pimping.

As far as I know, it is legal to buy or sell sex, you just need to, if you're the one selling, do your bookkeeping nd pimping yourself.

Edit: I have checked, and the most recent information I came across does not prohibit prostitution. It does, however, as I said, prohibit trafficking or the involvement of a third party in the contract.

It is perfectly legal to buy or sell sex between two individuals.

I am 100% in favor of legalization. I am also in favor of sex bots. The playing field is in desperate need of leveling. For too long, men outside the top tier of attractiveness have been much too limited in the ways they can meet their sexual needs. It's time we had a sexual revolution that benefited us. And if prostitution and sex bots completely destroy the dynamic between men and women (as many tradcons and more than a few feminists say it will), so be it. They started this in the 60's, and now it's our turn to finish it.

Although I personally wouldn't partake in prostitution (I don't even take part on currently legal strip clubs) I think people should be able to participate in any consensual activity for any exchange or benefit they see fit. I think it should be regulated with frequent medical testing and require 100% condom use for most activity.

Well your first problem is thinking your on the left. The actual left has gone so far left that now anyone who disagrees with a poc or feminism or if they aren't totally ok with unfettered illegal immigration and indoctrination of kids for gay and trans issues then you are on the right.

Personally I think prostitution should be legal in all regards. Just like any other industry make sure there are regulations like monthly or even weekly drug screenings and whatnot though.
