Wasn’t there a track and field athlete that was disqualified because it was discovered she had undescended testicles? The argument there was that her testosterone levels were just too high to be fair to the others.

How is this athlete any different? She was disqualified from the women’s world championship. Why allow her to compete in the Olympics?

I don't know anywhere near enough, but if she's has got XXY chromosomes and thus intersex, sucks but she can't be in the women's grade.

It's a blurry line because all athletes win based in genetics right, but I think using XX or XY seems like a fairly easy line to draw.

But ultimately it comes down to the regulating body, and whatever rules they have, if there is a cut off to test levels then that's what it is, if there isn't then that's also what it is. But then If you can have X levels of test why does it have to be naturally made? Would it be illegal to undergo leg lengthening for basketball?

the IBA made it clear in a statement, that she was not tested for testosterone.

Point to note, the athletes did not undergo a testosterone examination but were subject to a separate and recognized test, whereby the specifics remain confidential. This test conclusively indicated that both athletes did not meet the required necessary eligibility criteria and were found to have competitive advantages over other female competitors.

There is no rational justification for why there should be separate competitions for women, everyone should compete in the same competition.

The rationale that there should be separate competition for women because they couldn't compete with men is total BS. Yes women can't compete with men but that doesn't there should be separate competitions. Most men couldn't compete at Olympics level enough if they trained their whole lives because most Olympics athletes have genetic advantages that simply can't overcame by a regular person just by training. A random man is not running at Usain Bolt level even if he trained for his whole life.

The only egalitarian way to do sports is to have a league type system with divisions where everyone competes. With enough matches, everyone will automatically get sorted into their own divisions according to their skill level. All this trans/anti-trans man hating BS, at least in sports, will stop.

I feel bad for her. Not only is everyone running around invalidating her successes and saying she has a d*ck, but they're also making her out to be some sort of cheat because she has a hormone imbalance.

"It's not fair, because her body is stronger and more muscular!" Um, what? It's a physical competition. Those are never fair. Someone will always be stronger/faster/tougher/whatever. The whole point of the competition is to tease out who that is. I fail to see the issue :/

Yeah, I don't care how you address that entity, but since it has the XXY chromosome it is still a man and has no place in a female boxing sport it takes the opportunity away from a biological female.

This whole transgender nonsense should stop and infiltrate a woman sports! They have no place since they have more advantage over a biological female.
