Those of us who are even the slightest bit rational about this have known for some time now feminists are a bunch of fanatical lunatics. However I've noticed they don't even seem to be hiding what we've suspected their intentions are all along anymore, especially the most fanatical at places like the Huffington Post.

The Rock Test: A Hack for Men Who Don’t Want To Be Accused of Sexual Harassment

This author literally put it in bold for us, she is admitting inadvertently by posting these 'rules' for men to follow that unless they are followed men can and will be accused of sexual harassment in response. Now with the way they've written this it looks like this isn't there intention at all but their true thoughts about men seem to be spilling out all over the internet these days which is really interesting.

I think it might stem from their arrogant attitude where they've always considered men to be the stupid and thoughtless sexists so they're trying to spell it out as clearly as possible for us but they've ended up shooting themselves in the foot by admitting they use sexual harassment accusations and so on to try and punish us for stepping out of line. They try to put this thin veil on their language claiming it's just about treating women has 'human beings' but in reality they just come across as batshit insane like usual acting like any kind of normal social interaction is 'harassment'.

I'm really enjoying seeing this :D I particularly enjoyed how she desperately tried to make it out that women in the work place should be compared to muscular soldiers on battlefields because apparently we can't control ourselves at all.

really begs the question - "what are men supposed to do?"

if we treat all women like we would treat Dwayne Johnson... in a few years, we will be screeched at about "where have all the good men gone?!!" and how we need to "man up" and "put an end to our state of perpetual childhood" by marrying these women lmao

starting to understand the rise of mgtow tbh.

It's sad but MTGOW is an extremely logical response to all of this, I don't agree with it, but it's the classic fight or flight response to these horrible feminists. MTGOW guys are often just men who have seen the forces arrayed against them where they even have politicians trying to ridicule and attack them publicly and they've just gone "fuck it".

I can't blame them in the slightest, but I don't think that's going to solve much or make people happy.

[–]Jammersault 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"In a few years"......they've been screeching about that for a while now

[–]The__Tren__Train 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

indeed.

[–]Ordinate1 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, wow, that might have been the stupidest thing that I have ever read.

“A big chill came across Silicon Valley in the wake of all these stories, and people are hyperaware and scared of behaving wrongly, so I think they’re drawing all kinds of parameters,” said a venture capitalist who spoke anonymously for the same reason.

Some are avoiding solo meetings with female entrepreneurs, potential recruits and those who ask for an informational or networking meeting.

In other words, men who are scared of women taking offense at an innocuous comment are the problem (not the women looking to take offense), and so they should pretend that the woman is someone that they should be scared of and behave like that.

WHAT?!

[–]armaadi 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

And what happens if you do mentally change these women to Dwayne The Rock Johnson, and something you say is misconstrued as harassment? Now, you can no longer get promoted and you might be ostracized from the rest of the work force. No one wants to work with a harasser.

Now, I understand it's not really fair to women for men to avoid them at work. They can't network, and without networking, they may not have access to a lot of lucrative positions. It's also not fair to men. Articles like this tell men to spend 1 on 1 time with women, and then in the same breath, mention Harvey Weinstein who's getting his ass handed to him on the basis of sexual harassment claims.

Sooooo....how does a guy protect himself while also helping out women who want to network? Record every meeting? Document every interaction with every woman? How is that fair to the man? He spends his day working, and when a woman wants his attention, he must stop working and start documenting the interaction with her for the duration of the meeting. Then he can go back to work. He must not say no, cuz sexism/misogyny.

[–]fengpi 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They can't network, and without networking, they may not have access to a lot of lucrative positions.

I guess they should've thought about that before handing every woman in the office a spiked war-mace to brandish around for shits and giggles.

[–]armaadi 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The real issue is that it's the man's role to initiate the vast majority of romances, and work is a place where you potentially spend a lot of time around members of the opposite sex. Women send ambiguous signals all the time. How can a man know that a woman is being nice to him is because she wants him or because she's just friendly? If she starts wearing more revealing clothing and spends more time around him, how does he know if she's doing it for him or for Bob down the hall or just because she feels sexy? Since women overwhelming take the passive role in starting relationships, he cant' know for sure unless he does something. The problem is that if he hits on her, that's sexual harassment to a lot of companies.

If women took an equal share of initiating romantic relationships, this wouldn't be an issue. Guys would know exactly if she were interested, cuz she would say something. Furthermore, since women would be taking the risk more often, there would be fewer cases of sexual harassment, since women would be less inclined to cry to HR for some guy hitting on her.

If women want more access to C-level positions, women overwhelming need to take the reigns more in their lives, including initiating with potential love interests. As long as women take the passive role, men will have an unequal amount of risk around women. Men take steps to mitigate this risk, and the biggest and best way to mitigate? Avoidance.

I'm not going to read that cancer of an article.

This life hack will have you treating women like people in no time.

I'd like a life hack that gets people to treat men like people. Can I have one of those?

[–]fengpi 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can I have one of those?

No. You are already carried-around on people's shoulders as they chant "King! King! King!" And you don't notice it because you have become so accustomed to it.

[–]serial_crusher 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If I was hanging out with The Rock, I’d be sure to ask him some questions about his diet and workout regimen. Something tells me the “body positive” women I work with wouldn’t appreciate those questions the way he might.

[–]fengpi 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

A tee hee hee! She's just so ironic and kooky and quirky and clever and stuph!

Oh shoot! She’s pretty!

Nottttt really. That shiny forehead could use some powder. But I guess I have unrealistic standards.

No advice for women, though. Oh good. They're still free to fuck the boss for career advancement. Wheeeeeee!

[–]PlastIconoclastic 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is tagged as humor and makes humiliating jokes about men masturbating in front of a group of female coworkers because... it is OK to laugh at men. Their sexuality is disgusting and should be hidden and repressed, or exaggerated as a joke. Talking about women as being sexual isn’t funny, it is sexual harassment.

[–]SaudiMRA5 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Men will never ever treat women like they would treat The Rock. And women will never ever want to be treated like The Rock. End of story.

If you don't like this, you can, to paraphrase Bertolt Brecht, elect a new humanity....... nah, just kidding, you can't.

[–]Ted8367 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I guess women see men as usable assets: that's where the money comes from, and that's where the power is. That power can be harnessed with the usual sex stuff. If you, a man, think you are impervious to it, well, you're just kidding yourself. The vulnerability is built in to the standard model.

So if you, a woman, are looking for some assets, where better to look than concentrations of men. They may have rules, conventions, or traditions about keeping it male, but you can get around that with the help of the sisters. A few decades of whining, nagging, moral outrage, and appeals to male egos, and the ladies are In! This is why all the movement is women into male areas, but the women keep their own areas.

Once in, the problem narrows to the personal: how to get what you want from the men who are around. It's too simplistic to think that it's a matter of offering sex. Too much effort, not enough time, too direct. Playing one off against another, using whiteknights, setting moral standards (always to do with sex) which benefit women (just how do they manage this? - it works). I have to say I've got only a sketchy view of just a few of the methods. There must be many more. But in this article we see one of them.

When a woman approaches you, just replace her in your mind with The Rock.

... setting up the idea in your mind of her own private whiteknight. You better watch out boy, or Rock is coming. Because you've done wrong. About sex. Yes, it's always sex. Bad sex. Bad boy. "How can you be expected to keep your hands to yourself" and so forth and so on. In ever more inventive and strained evolutions. Stare rape. Internet rape. If you don't play along, you lose anyway, you creep. Firings will happen.

Needless to say, an organization infected with this malady is going down one way or another. What can be done about it? Buggered if I know.

[–]fengpi 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

In my workplace, I don't ride in elevators with women. If I'm on the elevator alone, and the door opens and a woman gets in, I get off and take the stairs. Sure, that's extreme, but I think I'd also not want to ride with The Rock because it's a small elevator and he takes-up a lot of space. If that standard is good enough for that screed's author, it's good enough for me in that situation.

And, when I need to deal with a woman in my workplace, I'm strictly cold and all business. Like Joe Friday on Dragnet, "just the facts, ma'am." Sure, I come off like an SOB, but that's a small price to pay. Also, I'm sure The Rock would appreciate my no-nonsense ways.

Also, I'm sure The Rock pays for his own food and drinks on dates.

[–]buster2209 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why people avoid hiring women

[–]HotDealsInTexas 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Okay, let's try this test.

Situation 1: Getting Coffee

Okay, on the one hand The Rock is a 6'5" pro wrestler and can cave in my skull on a whim if I do anything to slight him in any way, whereas Karen can destroy my career by accusing me of sexual harassment if I do anything to slight her in any way.

The solution? Don't meet with either of them for my own safety.

Next?

Situation 2: The Meeting

Same logic applies. Refuse to be in a one-on-one meeting: insist on having backup if The Rock decides to kick my ass, or a witness/recording if Amanda decides to accuse me of sexual harassment.

Situation 3: The Outing

Nope, sorry, you're not going out for drinks with me. I don't trust drunk, armed men who could shoot me and get off scot-free by claiming they "feared for their lives" because they're cops, and I don't trust drunk women who can outright initiate sexual interactions and then claim rape because they had 3 beers.

Wow, that was easy! When you compare the threat posed by women to the threat posed by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, it's so clear that the safest move for any man is to avoid interacting with them as much as possible! Although... actually maybe The Rock isn't so bad: he would probably face legal consequences for smashing my face in, and he's a pretty nice guy so he probably wouldn't. With some random coworker I barely know, how can I tell?

... /s. That means SARCASM, idiot. But seriously, the witch hunt culture has gotten bad enough that men are actually starting to refuse to meet with women one-on-one for their own safety, including the fucking Vice President.

[–]fengpi 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

including the fucking Vice President.

Also, he was called a creepy misogynist for not wanting to dine alone with women. So there you have it: whether you are in the room with a woman or not in the room with a woman, there's an accusation for every occasion!

[–]_pulsar 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This writer isn't half as funny as she clearly thinks she is...

[–]JStheHammer 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would avoid the rock, so avoid women. You win

[–]MisterDamage 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TL;DR: False accusations never happen so just don't hit on anyone and you'll be fine.

Good luck living in fantasyland, better hope you don't suffer a rude awakening though.

[–]Rodian-Singer 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wait, aren't men ALREADY scared of women? Isn't that what the problem is? It states it right there in the article that men are afraid, so the solution is to be more afraid? I'm genuinely confused. These men are already treating these women like the Scorpion King because they know if they don't watch every single move they make and every breath they take they'll get stung big time. It seems like men are already employing this strategy in a way. What exactly is this article supposed to accomplish other than confirming that men's fears are 100% justified? Edited to add the word men. Can't type today.

[–]evg962 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

GOOD tip: around women don't look or act like a weird nervous autist, and you will get along great. It's not that hard!
