Lazy to label certain differences between men and women as misogynistic. There’s a lot of misandry baked in but also there are reasons why men and women are different in how they think, act and how it’s expressed. Are some male issues caused partly self imposed, yes. That doesn’t = misogyny

There's a lot to unpack here...

Objectively, being ruled by your emotions is weak. It takes strength to make a logical/rational decision in the face of fear/anger/sadness. Would you follow a leader who broke down in tears in the face of adversity?

Next, you refer to a "widespread bias that women are weaker" - On average, women are physically smaller and weaker than men. It's basic biology, not bias, and certainly not hate. Higher muscle-mass, greater bone-density. We are a sexually-dimorphic species.

Men's issues are caused by our hatred of women? Frankly, your post smacks of victim-blaming.

I don’t think the things you mention are a matter of misogyny.

Also, if we look at the policies of discrimination against men in the U.S., we will see that most are driven by feminist lobbying efforts and by politicians pandering to the women’s vote. Similarly, feminism has put a lot of effort into propaganda claiming men deserve to be discriminated against, much of this propaganda a spin on patriarchy theory, which of course doesn’t hold up to scrutiny, but most supporters of feminism are acting emotionally, not objectively weighing the relevant facts.

Thing is feminism claims it's all about equality, so why do they still reinforce what you here are saying is misoginy? I doubt you will find anything in feminist literature that can't be summed as "We are the weak victims of the evil patriarchy." So is feminism misogynistic too?

Maybe.

There are just as many misandrist men and misogynist women, historically and in modern times. So at the end of the day, your genitals don't matter. They're cultural issues.

So if the claim being made here that "these issues are actually mysoginy" is veiling the claim "men are actually responsible for everything going wrong at the end of the day" then I think you're misguided. Just as many women propogate harmful generational normalizations and stigmas that stifle both genders.

If we accept your premise of those issues being caused by misogyny, then why are most feminists denying that men can be victims of abuse and why are they the ones opposing men doing these jobs? Would you agree then that feminists are misogynistic?

Incorrect. I know for example that in the domain of teachers, men are discouraged and disparaged from becoming teachers, by existing teachers (mostly women). It’s called misandry, not misogyny 🤦

You're equating gender roles (which I agree should be opposed) with misogyny (hatred of or prejudice against females as a sex). They aren't the same thing.

I agree women are infantilized by society. However they also are attributed with an inherent value (basically "because womb"). Men are denied this and forced to prove their value by performing masculinity. Both sexes are objectified (in different ways - females are infantilized, males are instrumentalized) by the gender system.

If this system is fairly described as sexist against women, it is also sexist against men.

For the sake of the argument, let me concede that it is fair to say this system privileges masculinity above femininity (a common feminist definition of patriarchy or misogyny). The distinction, however, is that masculinity is not maleness and males who deviate from masculinity are punished, not privileged. So EVEN IF masculinity occupies a privileged space, that is not, in the strictest sense of the term, sexist, because it doesn't confer preferential treatment on the basis of SEX but rather on the basis of CONDUCT.

One issue can be cause by misogyny and misandry too. What appears to be the case is, it depends on the time and place (context).

For eg: Male should be perpetators in rape and dv:

In 1800s or 1900s, it would be because of misogyny. In 2000s, feminsts around the world especially in India and UK actively campaign against non gender neutral rape laws. Which is caused my misandry because men aren't a 2-3% share of victims today in these crimes.

Draft:

In earlier times of world wars and other regional wars, only men were drafted which would be because of misogyny, as women were not allowed to leave home and work at all except for some baby related jobs. Just this week EU ruled male only conscription in not unfair. That is misandry. Because many countries do have neutral drafts and women in countries with male only draft doesn't have to do any male equivalent thing.

Classic offloading of blame from women to men. This is called mal-agency gender bias and it’s human nature. Intuitively we see women as vulnerable and men as powerful. Hence we tend to attribute everything to men, “they did everything”. But with diligent thought, it’s possible to overcome this bias.

We live in a post truth era. Not every "fact" (if yours even is one) is neutral to say.

What's next, are you going to try and tell us black people are responsible for their own racism because "black on black crime is way higher than white on black crime"? Even if in some narrow sense, you'd be technically correct, it's offensive and racist dog-whistle thing to say.

My issues are not second class social justice issues. For every other issue, victim blaming "facts" are wrong, period, truth not withstanding. If you wouldn't victim blame for other issues, you shouldn't victim blame me. Your sexist and problematic dog-whistling is not appreciated.

Emotionality is complex and diverse in experience and expression. Suggesting that gender sterotypes of emotionality are a reaaonable discussion point is not helpful.

The gender stereotype that men are less emotional than women is a feminist myth. We have along and historic record of men expressing an extremely wide range of emotional experiences of extrordinary depth and intensity. Its disingenuous to ignore this.

Just because men choose when, where, how, and with whom they share their emotional experiences, and do not produce emotional responses on demand,does not show a lack of emotionality. Its shows agency, distinction and an evolved emotional intelligence.

If you accept these abusive characterisations of men as emotional cripples, then you are creating the problem. Men's emotional experiences are not performative, and men are not required to provide proof of emotionality.

Speaking as a male in acare giving job, men are discouraged from entering caring professions by zealous women, angery at men who out perform them in empathy, tolerance and nuturing.

Gender roles and expectations aren't misogyny, like for example

If a man is hit by his wife. He is going to be taken less seriously, not because women are weak but because he is bigger and could push her away in theory while there are women who are hit by their husbands who can't do anything. Or because there's the notion that if a woman hits her husband it's because he's evil and she's defending herself
