People have no idea how incredibly common this is throughout so many nations who immediately look down upon men and fathers as inferior and incapable compared to mothers in terms of child care etc, it’s deeply saddening and well indoctrinated into society and the court systems. Men are just as, if not more, capable of loving and raising children as mothers are!

Honestly it makes me glad my dad managed to get primary custody of my younger brothers despite our "mother" making false abuse accusations. She claimed dad would beat her and us kids, but... Guess she didn't take into account that the 3 of us were plenty old enough to be believed that it was quite the opposite. Not that her taking a chain belt across the back of the younger boy helped her 'dads abusive' story. (Dad called the cops, and CPS, wanted to press charges but she claimed it was 'disciplinary'. Dads lawyer told him not to press as it could further complicate the custody dispute. But it was brought to the guardian ad litem to be used against her.)

I know some stories have far worse endings. With truly deplorable mothers that end up with custody, and innocent dads that hardly get to see their kids. Hopefully one day (preferably soon) there will be more stories like mine with happier endings.

I have a healthy relationship with my wife, but I've thought a lot about what I would be willing to put up with to avoid losing 50% or more of the time with our daughter...and it's honestly a lot. I don't know that I would leave if I was being abused or anything because I would so desperately not want to miss that time with my kid.

I’d love to see some statistics on this. As far as I know only about 5% of custody cases actually end up in court. And in 50% or so of all cases the father just straight up hands over custody to the mother. I’m all for men’s rights but these misleading shitty posts aren’t helping the cause.
