It’s most certainly unfair. That, I don’t doubt. Like I said, I wouldn’t bring a child into this world at all.

However, if I may present some counter arguments to how it’s also cruel for baby girls?

Hate does exist toward men by extremist feminists.

However the incel community exists, which believes that they are entitled to women’s bodies as a god given right. Many massacres have been committed by incels for the incel movement. Only the other week, an incel confessed to planning a massacre of 3000 female students.

Women in the U.K. are also likely to face mistreatment in medicine. They are on average, diagnosed later than men on 700+ diseases and illnesses. Women are also more likely face adverse effects to medication as drug dosage have historically been based on trials on men. Women are also more likely to be misdiagnosed. Women are also less likely to be prescribed pain relief after surgery in comparison to men. Even routine procedures such as a cervical biopsy is done without anaesthetic due to outdated views on how women experience pain. Only 2.2% of funding for medical trials and research is assigned to gynaecology issues. We assign 2.2% of funding for issues faced by 16% of the population, even though our medical understanding of these issues are limited in comparison to male issues.

Suicide rates in women are also on rise rapidly.

One in four women have/will be sexually assaulted or raped in adulthood.

9/10 girls at schools report experiencing unwanted nudes sent to them, and sexist language used against them.

1/10 girls in the U.K. aged 14-21 can’t afford menstrual products. More than 137,700 girls missed school in 2017 due to not being able to afford sanitary products.

I’m keeping this to the U.K. as I assume we are taking about the west in this conversation? :)

I’ve had bad experiences myself with healthcare, so I did some research into why this is an experience that I share with my mother and grandmother, but not my father or brother. I didn’t realise it was so bad either. It’ll fix itself in time, it’s just due to how women were disregarded in medicine throughout history. Takes a lot of time to remedy that.

No problem at all. Thank you for your insight too. I completely sympathise with both sides of this situation. It’s just anger being misdirected at the other gender instead of the reason why the differences exist in the first place. Hopefully one day both can come together and fix these issues. Such as combining the right to abortion, and to paper abortions into just reproductive rights as a whole.
