By that logic is not the intention that counts but the feelings of the person that perceive the statements. The problem with this logic is that although the one that make the statement could be biased, the one that reads it may be too. The same way that there is bigotry there is a culture of victimhood. The media influences this a lot, it’s the reason why the studies show that most women feel afraid of walking down the street and think men are safe when in reality men are the ones in most danger.

I would be very reluctant of any narrative that gives a group the right to decide what other group identity or feelings or opinions should be. I would rather encourage people to base their opinions on studies or facts and be capable of changing them when new information arises.

1.-“and I promise you those people don't think they're being hateful” which implies that they don’t have the intention of being hateful, which in turn would mean they aren’t hateful according with the definition of the word. “full of hate:malicious” or as a second meaning “deserving of or arousing hate”

2.- “but they are.” Implying that the intention of the emisor isn’t relevant, only the interpretation of the receiver is.

Bias can be both in the emisor or the receiver. Your statement assumes that there can only be in the emisor. I mentioned an example of how the receiver of the communication can be bias to interpret the message in the worst possible way. And the fact that the meta narrative that is feminism encourage for only the interpretation of the receiver to matter when the receiver are women, because feelings, this is a distortion of reality that blocks any communication. The mere act of interpreting someone’s comment as offensive is taken as proof that your interlocutor is biased and you are in the right.

Postmodernism as it finest.

Someone could say something offensive (objectively if that’s possible) without realizing it, or even without realizing it is , but someone could also feel offended by something that isn’t offensive (also objectively if that’s possible, like the simple statement of a fact). In the first case the responsibility of the emisor is diminished due to the intention (not wanting to be offensive) and the responsibility of the receiver may be important (if it is being used to justify their own bias), in the second case the responsibility of the emisor of the message is null and the responsibility of the receiver is significant.

It depends on where he is, if it's a left wing shithole I'd certainly think twice about associating with not just the women there but anyone really. However this is precisely why I advocate making it a point to visit other towns and cities and generally explore the country.

I went to parliament square recently to the Sadiq Khan balloon event. It was ridiculous how easy it was to talk to people what made it better was knowing the majority of the time they weren't anti-trump hard left lunatics and the only people who would think like that and show up at these sorts of events etc. were activists and journalists who you could spot a mile off.

Everyone was totally relaxed, huge difference to what it's like in a left wing shithole where you're constantly treading on eggshells. Most people are completely normal about all of this stuff and very relaxed, however you do have a problem of people who are trapped in very self-segregated communities who all think the same thing and treat anybody who expresses a different opinion like they're crazy.
