I already use duckduckgo as my main search engine, protonmail instead of Gmail, and plan on switching from gdrive. Mainly because I don't plan on supporting the insanity going on at Google. But this damn android phone, that's hard to get an alternative for if you also dislike Apple (for other reasons).

You should boycott Google because they treat you as their product, or maybe just because they are too big and they know too much.

Their treatment of James Damore was appalling, so if you're not already boycotting Google for the above stated reasons then certainly you should boycott them for that.

No, just use their services, but enable an ad blocker for every service you use through them. Strangle the income stream, not the platform.

also you can watch videos on like vimeo. switch to ios, or Motorola if you want to be on a lower budget.

The only problem I see is with how pervasive google is. Tons of people use Google without knowing about the James Damore incident. Hell, most people probably believe what the media told them if they do know about it. Google, at this point, is too big to fail by boycott. Only way I see google ending is if someone with influence promotes our ideals, and that’s not likely to happen.

Get into the Apple ecosystem, y'all. I reccomend the iPad Pro, because it's being marketed as a PC replacement, is the most versatile, and is artist friendly. Also, Mac/iOS fusion apps are TBR so desktop grade apps will be available soon. When you get your iDevice, use Opera VPN, DuckDuckGo, iCloud, and YouTube. Also, make sure you have the tracking settings on your Google/eMail/YouTube account turned off. SPREAD THE WORD

EDIT: Wait for the new iPad Pro 2018 if you're interested.
