I am an 18 year old male and honestly hadn't given much thought to inequality because it was something I had never really witnessed personally, against males or females, except in television and the occasional story I heard. However I was shocked when I found out that it cost female students at the college I am planning on attending next semester thousands of dollars less than males, for no reason than that they are female (this is an excellent engineering school). So I became aware of a problem, albeit it an isolated incident. This sub, which I have been subscribed to for only about 3 weeks at this point has really showed me many inequalities men face and I'm glad to be aware of the problem, but basically my question is, are we actually doing anything to change these problems, or just spreading awareness? (yes, awareness is something but I think you guys know what I mean.)

If there are things being done, how can I get involved more? Unrelated to the title but I figure I may as well just make one thread for all my questions at this point, how can I make it clear that I am not "anti-women" and do care about women's rights as well (they have problems too ya know, but they're different than ours and I do not want to get into a "who has it worse" debate because I doubt that will ever be resolved)?
