Is the anti-MRA stuff so bad that people are against supporting male victims out of principle or spite?

Prominent feminists and domestic violence (against women only) advocates have done shit like this for years. They can't allow the perception that males can be victims of females, because their entire career is based on the assumption that it doesn't happen and is a gendered problem.

So you'll have them say things like "Domestic violence is just a cover word for wife beating" taking a gender neutral term like DV and explicitly saying it only means women are victims of violent men, and nothing else.

Then there are the DV "experts" that refuse to come on talk shows and respond to questions about men's rights or male victims because that would be, and i quote, "lending legitimacy to the idea".

What you are seeing on reddit is the footsoldiers doing the same work.

Men's problems don't exist, remember? Sexist MRA's made it all up, so how could there be any support services for men, they don't need any! So, any links to support services must be sexist trolls making shit up, because the mod already knows those services "don't exist".

And they may logically know that train of thought is bullshit, but they aren't using logic. They're feminists, and will publicly and proudly say things like that they support Amber Turd even after being proven to be an abuser because she's on their team.

It's intentional.

This is the passive and quite bigotry men face, their issues and support for them quietly erased without a second thought, all to support the idea that the patriarchy (re: men) are the cause of all problems and don't have any themselves.

Principle, spite and also money.

Recognition and awareness of male victims and their genuine need for support services which aren't available, could mean less money flowing to existing female victim focused organisations.

Financial interests are at the core. The irony is feminism insists either men dont face problems or bias against men isnt real. Then qs soon as you start to talk about male issues it becomes clear there really is a need more men's movements and awareness programmes.

Feminism rakes in billions per year. Why would they want a multi billion dollar industry to have to 1. Share its funds and 2. allow half a century of lies be uncovered? That would be rather damaging.

The reason behind it is basically what is described in "thirty years of denying the evidences on gender symmetry domestic violence " and "the feminist case for acknowledging women's acts of violence"

Basically, the DV industry has put tremendous effort in ensuring that only feminist sources are allowed on it, and those sources must present women as the victims of DV to maintain "the feminist framework of women as victims and men as perpetrators", and to ensure the funding keeps flowing.

And part of those "strategies of containment" is to get the people so worked up about men's advocates that simply being related to them warrants being silenced.

Reddit is misandrist to the core so their "attempts" to help men don't have much substance to them because to really help men would go against their guiding principles of treating men as lesser humans.

I just got a permanent ban from the offmychest sub the other night for creating a post in here. literally within a minute of posting in here, I received a ban from there. have a feeling mods from diff subs are lurking in here, looking for anyone from diff subs posting in here. the post I made didn't have anything with that group at all. the reasoning for the ban, was that I posted in a redpill/incel group.
