I caught the news blurb on NPR and missed the beginning, and I can't find the article (shame since I thought I had better Google-fu than that). The gist was that the issue of lifetime alimony is coming into the spotlight and how some lawmakers wan to change that. Temporary alimony issue is already occurring in some states like Texas, Florida and Maryland. But, some Senators are pushing for temporary support FOR BOTH GENDERS because they've seen how financially destructive a mandatory, lifetime alimony can be for the paying spouse. I also recall the mention of how ludicrous alimony adjustments are, in the case of remarried spouses.

That's good news, right? :P
