The burden of proof fallacy

The idea of Believe Women directly contradicts burden of proof. A claim shouldn’t be believed because of the sex of the person making the claim. Burden of proof indicates a claim should be believed only when the claimant provides proof their claim is true. This goes hand in hand with the idea of innocent until proven guilty.

A claim isn’t proof. It’s simply an unproven postulate.

This idea that women should be believed without evidence will likely lead to all kinds of problems and will be reversed with a vengeance IMO.

A woman accuses a woman of rape. Believe the woman.

'Believe women' is only relevant when a women accuses a man and the statement 'believe women' is only used when a woman accuses a man. Therefore, 'believe women' advocates for discriminating on the basis of gender.

'Believe women' only works because of gynocentrism and 'women are wonderful'
