They do the same thing with black people. Talk about ghetto trash thugs and when I question them, they say they meant the 'other' blacks.

I once saw somebody say 'men are awful'; when I confronted her, she told me 'I obviously don't mean you,' I told her that wasn't even a little bit obvious to me, and what she'd said was sexist and hurtful.

I never saw her again.

(This was on the internet, tho.)

I think she is expecting you to join in on the misandry. The way we relate to women cannot be by sharing mutual hatred for men, and way too many men take the bait and do just that because they are starving for female approval.

This is how we get judges with MUS (Male Unicorn Syndrome) who harshly sentence men for their crimes. All other men are awful, but not them, they're one of the good ones.

Its always except you when you are in their presence. When you are in their presence and somebody else is... its except them.... simply put they want something from you so they are being nice.

As I've gotten older, I've moved from telling myself "I'm NOT like other guys" to "I AM like other guys, because most guys are decent".

To me, the "all X are Y ,except you" bit is a lame attempt to justify one's s****y attitudes.

Yes, I have had this experience. This is conscious/unconscious manipulation.

I used it constantly, when I was younger.

Like you meet a girl, in some time, inevitably comes up topic of crazy exes, and I have some quite unsetting stories about them.

You say, how traumatized you are by this shit. While maintaining facade of tough guy. You show her your soft side.

"Show". "Soft".

Then you drop a phrase, that you almost begin to think, that all women are unreliable/mean/can hurt you/whatever bullshit is adequate for the situation.

But she is the one and only that's different and unlike all others.

And BAM!!! She is all yours.

Works not alvays, but works.

Most ironic thing, that in the end I finally found a women, that I really think is special. And I needed no manipulations with her. But that's not relevant. Just be aware,that hunter can easily become pray and vice a versa))
