The problem for us is that we find ourselves between a rock and a hard place. Scylla and Charybdis. Feminism and Traditionalism.

This is exactly why the MRM should resist any impulse to be affiliated with any particular political party - especially conservatism, which is the feeling I'm getting from this subbreddit. You can't align yourselves with feminism, because the egalitarian intent of that movement has been hijacked by extremists, and conservatism (especially in the United States), has been hijacked by extremism. The only direction to go is up, to transcend all of this bullshit and appeal to as many sane, logical and moderate human beings as possible. There is nothing extreme about wanting fair treatment as a gender - nothing extreme about striving for genuine egalitarianism. HATE is extreme, self-consuming and repugnant to the vast majority of human beings, and for good reason. HATE is the self destructive mind and purpose of extremism, and it can never be sustained in the long run.

I think most people already know that feminism, in it's current manifestation, is extremist in nature. You cannot endorse mensrights without endorsing the concept of egalitarianism. I know full well how fascist and cult-ish this neo-feminism (and that's really what it is, because it's evolved into something quite apart from it's original intent) is, and by all means, make it known how they operate, and defend mensrights, but not at the expense of actually spreading the issues and inequities that men face. If we want to position ourselves as the exact opposite, then we need to focus on drawing attention to the very real inequities that we face, and not focus on defending ourselves against an onslaught of misinformation and mischaracterizations by a group of extremist, and at the expense of getting our message out. If we label them, they sure as hell can label us, and they will and do - regardless, because we ARE a threat, and the rabid campaign to undermine MensRights is proof positive that we ARE indeed a threat. Launching zingers and insults is playing straight into their whole "victim" mythos. I've been guilty of it myself, when they managed to push my buttons, but we should be mindful of that and avoid it. We need to position ourselves above them, not across.
