This list gives me existential dread. The fact that I could be mocked or downplayed as a victim while the perpetrator faces no consequences terrifies me.

Being mocked and downplayed when you're a victim is exactly what happens to men and boys.

When I was divorcing my wife (my decision) and she went off the rails making every conceivable allegation against me, my entire family who knew that I was not aggressive, or a sexual deviant, or all the other things said:

"Well you must have done something to deserve it"

My wife was diagnosed with a mental illness. But no, it was my fault that she falsely accusing me.

Being a man is to have to constantly be responsible for women's crimes.

It used to be literally written into law that way. Perhaps in some countries it still is. But whether it's the law or not it always has and remains the social custom.

And ironically the fact that men had to literally pay for women's crimes is all men's fault too - according to feminists it's proof of how privileged men are, so they deserve it. So the fact that men pay for women's crimes becomes an example of itself.
