Hyperagency is the (false) idea that men have a comparatively far greater level of control over their outcomes, and that they therefore ultimately should be held more accountable than women are for struggling.

I've noticed a lot of men buying into it. I agree that people should try to improve on their situations but there's an obvious double standard when it comes to accountability and gender. It's sad to see that on a Men's rights subreddit, we have men who show no compassion for men's issues and come on here to impose misandrist gender stereotypes on men in difficult situations.
