My strategy is to ask these misandrists (mostly women) to actually be precise in thier ideas and not just throw out terms like 'the patriarchy' that sound great but don't actually tell you anything about what they mean. Ask them what the patriarchy actually is and how it actually works with specific examples. Ask these women how they are oppressed in modern society where we are the safest and most economically productive we have ever been in human history.

I point out facts that show that men are not privaleged and that most of the social issues affecting society are diproportionally affecting men. Some of these are:

-most murder victims and victims of most violent crimes are men

-Most of the people in jail are men

-men get around 60% longer prison sentences than women for the same charges

- 98% of alimony goes from men to women

-men routinely get screwed in custody courts

-All 15 of the most dangerous jobs in America are done overwhelmingly by men

- over 90% of workplace injuries and deaths are experienced by men

- majority of homeless people are men

- majority of overdoses are men

-majority of these addicted to alcohol and drugs are men

- for every 5 college degrees earned women get 3 and men get 2 (meaming 50% more for women)

- Men die sooner, with some of the evidence showing that part of this is men working longer and tougher jobs

-men can be forced to joint the military and die in war why women can not be forced

-Almost all of the military deaths in the past century and WW1 are men

- 99% percent of the troops fighter in Ukraine on both sides are men

-when disaster strikes most of the workers (firemen, military, police officers, etc.) are men.

-The media, Hollywood, academia all are very strongely pro-feminist arguing for women and womens talking points while they do not come anywhere close for men

-society shows a clear difference ih how they have such sympathy for the suffering of women compared to men. Look at the difference in how gender based cancers are treated in prostate and breast cancer. Prostate cancer (only affects men) is more commen and now kills more people than women (breast cancer is almost always women), yet there are so many major organizations and movements for breast cancer awareness while I cannot name a single effort of equivalence for Prostate cancer.

Point all of these facts out to women then ask them exactly how it is that men have privalege in modern society and how the 'patriarchy' they claim is made by men for the benefit of men exists when in ALL of these ways, in so many different areas, it is obvious that men are not having any privilege, how women are oppressed. Point these facts out and make them actually defend their arguments with facts and logic and not the same vague talking points. In my experience, this has changed the minds of a few feminists because many of them have never actually heard a counterargument to feminism or had their ideas challenged in the echo chamber of popular culture.

A patriarchy is a system where men have power of rule and from which women are excluded. In the U.S. women are not excluded. They can run for any office and have equal voting rights, in fact there are more female voters than male. We do not live in a patriarchy so any argument based on patriarchy theory is an argument based on a false premise.

Rape Culture: “Rape Culture is an environment in which rape is prevalent and in which sexual violence is normalized and excused”. We don’t live in a rape culture. 6 to 7 in 100,000 people are raised annually. That’s not the norm or or prevalent that’s an exception to the norm. It’s not accepted or excused but a felony crime which can have severe punishment. We don’t live in a rape culture. If we live in a rose culture then be the sane logic we live in a murder culture, a battery culture, a rubbery culture, an arson culture, an infanticide culture. Etc.

Glass Ceiling: a barrier above which women are not permitted to rise. We now have more women than men going to law school and med school. Women can and do run for any political office. The fact fewer women choose to enter some fields is not the same as a barrier of prevention. There is no glass ceiling.

Same story with the others….

Don’t engage in arguments based on a false premise. Call them on the false premise and make them remove it before debating the issue. I did that just today with a feminist.

Patriarchy

Right up there with 'The International Zionist Conspiracy' and 'Muh Illuminaughti!' in terms of people desperately trying to create the omnipresent, omnipotent (yet surprisingly easy to beat), and unseeable boogie-man your story needs to actually sound consistent.

Rape Culture

If you read up on how criminals are treated by other criminals in prison across the developed world the only people who are seen as more disgusting pieces of shit than rapists are child rapists. When people who make their money intentionally defrauding the old and vulnerable look down on rapists it is ridiculous to claim that we live in a culture that promotes/protects rape/rapists.

Systemic/Systematic/Institutionalized Misogyny

See above for the normal insanity and delusion you'll find in pretty much all of the cultists talking points. Ask them to actually define what they mean by that rather than just spouting the buzzwords. It might take a while, but they'll eventually have to concede that it's not a thing anywhere outside of maybe the Islamic countries that use Sharia law.

Male Domination

Of What? If there was anything that could be reasonably described as 'Male Dominated' then large parts of the government, academia, media, and numerous charities will be working overtime to reduce the number/power of men in that thing and increase the number/power of women in it. Therefore this point can be ignored.

Male Privilege

See the point about systemic soggy knees above. If they actually do manage to prove a real and current form of Male privilege to you then please ask them who we should all be talking to in order to collect it, make sure you're taking notes and that you double check the phone number and email address.

Female Oppression/suppression/subjugation

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. OK, but let's be serious here.

Glass ceilings

Like the one keeping men and boy out of higher education? Or the one intentionally crushing boys chances in education as early and quickly as possible? Or the one in business that's responsible for women out-earning men in most offices now - when are we going to get a public push to close that wage gap (that actually, provably, definitely exists rather than being a known error caused by intentionally bad statistical analysis but that still gets pushed to suit a narrative)?

Jesus, where to begin. The things you have bullet pointed above very well exist and do negatively and positively affect both men and women but if we want to achieve equality they are things that eventually have to be abolished. I’m not going to link studies cause you can Google that in your spare time the research is out there proving these things are real and the massive negative affects they have. Misandry does exist, nobody denies that but misandry has become a more common occurrence since women have been waking up to the extent of sexism we experience everyday. Do I think it’s right? No, if anything it’s pushing men and women further apart and a lot of women are no longer willing to listen to men’s issues since men most of the time won’t offer the same respect to listen to our issues and use the problems men face as a rebuttal when we talk about sexism instead of having actual intellectual conversations about both issues and what both men and women can do to combat that. I have never had a man start a conversation with me about men’s rights unless I have started talking about feminism first and that is the issue, it’s not a competition it’s a genuine problem and by doing this you’re taking neither men’s nor women’s issues seriously. Misandry will never be equal to misogyny, misogyny leads to violence against women, femicide, fgm etc and is vastly ingrained in our political systems whilst Misandry is not (once again this is googalable information). Whilst I agree with you that western women make our issues seem a lot worse than they are and there are women in other countries that are miles more discriminated against and we should be focusing on them, simply saying these oppressive issues are not real is a joke when there is hundreds of thousands of journal articles out there proving this stuff. Whilst you are entitled to your opinion, it does not equal fact and it’s harmful to spread these rhetorics. Women ARE most affected in the issues feminists talk about (googleable stats). Whilst I 100% agree that men are far more disadvantaged in certain aspects, by abolishing the things you’ve bullet pointed, it would actually help to resolve both men’s and women’s issues but clearly you are unwilling to listen to that or listen to women and actually help both of our causes. I commented under your previous post about the care for women event that raised money for charities that supported all genders but heavily advertised for women since gender violence is skewed towards female victims (please go and read it). You will never experience the inequalities I have to simply because you’re a man just like I will never experience the issues you face because I am a woman and the sooner you recognise this the sooner men and women can work together for total equality. We will never experience each others issues but we can listen, educate ourselves and try to understand. And quite frankly this post is disrespectful to the women in this group that care about men’s issues. Instead of belittling women’s issues why don’t you focus on pushing forward and making agendas for men’s issues
