The fems are in a full-court press to rebrand the Men's Rights Movement, similar to the way conservatives rebranded liberalism in the late 60s: Bleeding Hearts, Tax and Spend, etc. The Rodgers affair was just a fortuitous incident for them. They have the bully pulpit, so if not Rodgers, it would've been something else.

We could really use that documentary "The Red Pill" right now. The 2015 scheduled release can't come soon enough.

[–]Nomenimion 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Trouble is, Obama's policies on sexual assault have set the stage for more Dukes and Hofstras.

"The fems are in a full-court press to rebrand the Men's Rights Movement, similar to the way conservatives rebranded liberalism in the late 60s: Bleeding Hearts, Tax and Spend, etc."

Correct. Can't say the same for your spelling of dirtbag boy's surname, though.

Well any feminist who has a position as an editor is now linking mens rights with him. Dozens of articles are now claiming that he was a "mens rights" advocate.

https://www.google.com/search?q=mens+rights&num=20&safe=off&tbs=qdr:w&tbm=nws&ei=TRWFU8-oHZaoyAS3zoLQDg&start=0&sa=N&biw=1200&bih=592&dpr=1.33

Complete bs.

Let them. The harder they lie, the harder the blowback.

These hacks are just setting themselves up to be the future Jayson Blaires or Janet Cookes the next time there is a slow news day.

[–]tallwheel 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow. Hadn't searched it yet today. This is getting worse than I thought.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is horrible. I feel like runing away.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's exactly what they want you to feel, even though he never said anything about a single topic even remotely related to men's rights. You know why they want you to feel that way. Because it gets them views, which makes them money, so the potential political and social upheaval they could cause doesn't mean anything to them.

[–]Nomenimion 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You have to stay cool under fire.

Yet another here: http://www.smh.com.au/world/elliot-rodger-and-the-creepy-world-of-the-pickup-artist-20140528-zrqg1.html#ixzz32yNuCiGM

Thing is, they know there isn't even the slightest hint of a link to the men's rights movement, but they're latching on to the PUA links and assuming without any basis whatsoever that it's a subset of the movement.

"PUA is linked with a broader movement that calls itself MRA – men’s rights activism. The movement’s aims are nebulous and varied. At its most basic, it seeks to reclaim the traditional territory of the "Alpha Male", one of sexual dominance, strength and privilege."

Seems astounding that such blatant straw man arguments go completely unchecked.

Goldandigger is not outraged, but an amr troll. Look at comment history.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I am very sorry. I didn't know about screen shots.

[–]Nomenimion 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Mostly, it’s about sex. Or the lack thereof.

This is a boldfaced lie. It's about men getting screwed in all areas of our society, not about sex... which, quite frankly, is ridiculously easy to get.

[–]xNOM 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well you should be more clear there. They were referring to the "MRA", not PUAs. That would probably be an accurate description of PUAs, but how that leads to murder is pure hysteria.

[–]Piroko 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

which, quite frankly, is ridiculously easy to get

Clearly not.

[–]Nomenimion -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Oh come on. Any chump can get laid, as long as you don't insist on banging Cinderella herself.

Out there, it's Wide World of Pussy.

[–]Piroko 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Clearly not.

[–]Nomenimion -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yes, clearly.

[–]Piroko 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Then why are there 4 incels among 7 dead?

[–]Nomenimion 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Because this guy was a loser to end all losers.

He drove a bmw. He wore nice clothes. His dad was a Hollywood director. How do you fuck that up? But he found a way.

Some people can make a botch of things no matter how much you give them, and he was obviously one of them.

[–]Piroko -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

And his roommates?

[–]Nomenimion -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sorry, but I feel like I'm trying to teach Japanese to a monkey. I give up.

[–]Piroko -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because you know I'm right.

Gender dynamics are out of whack right now.

[–]xNOM 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

Many men are socialized young to believe they are owed sex and attention from women.

This is the part they keep saying over and over which makes me laugh. I mean, seriously. Controlling access to their vaginas is one of the few times women actually exercise any agency whatsoever.

When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. When all you have is a vagina, ....

[–]torn_hangnail 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

and it's a bald faced fucking lie. they have no evidence to back it up. they never elaborate on it. they just vomit it out of their mouths and people accept it without question.

[–]tallwheel 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If Elliot felt he was entitled to sex and attention from women, then why did he feel like he had to do what he did? If he was entitled, then surely the sex and attention was on its way. He just needed a bit more patience in order to get what he was entitled to.

[–]xNOM 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. This is where the mental illness starts to become apparent.

[–]Barbx 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Practically all men are taught to respect and, in may ways, fear women from a young age... Whoever wrote that Washington Post piece was pulling that from the same place that Intelligent Design comes from, out of thin air.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Everybody says women hould take responsibility. So is all they have is their vagina?

[–]xNOM 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When they say stuff like that, then yes that is the impression I get.

[–]typhonblue 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

What are they going to do?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't know but maybe hurt us somehow.

[+][deleted] -10 points-9 points-8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I have been hurt before. I won't say any more.

I have been hurt. My children have been hurt.

This killer Rodger has made me look like a clown in court. So I am angry. he has made me llok stupid for wanting my kids. Like i hurt their mother which I only did once under provocation.

Am I going to lose my kids forever?

[–]typhonblue 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are an AMR troll trying to scare men away from participating in men's rights by hitting at their love for their kids and their fear of losing them...

That is... horrible. Disgusting. Reprehensible.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I thought because it's a big mainstream paper it should be a separate post, apology if it shouldn't be.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What hurts me so much is I am about his age and never had any of ther advantages he had like BMWs and being supported by his parents even after he was an adult.

he never asked a girl out.

he was insane.

[–]Nomenimion 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He was a loser.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wish I never posted this link. I got zero help and support. I got down voted for being worried about all this. I don't know who you people are.

[+]mbasi -13 points-12 points-11 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You guys have been roasted, face it. And you will continue to get roasted whenever this stuff happens

[–]tallwheel 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And why is that? Because some people with an ideology see us as a convenient scapegoat whenever something bad happens - regardless of whether we are connected in any way or not?

[–]mbasi -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I won't deny that some (not all) writers out there are using you guys as a scapegoat. But deep down, even you guys know that Eliot Rogers could very well have been a subscriber to this forum.

[–]Solesaver 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Doesn't matter. Osama bin Laden could have been subscribed to SRS. Doesn't mean he represents them. The fact remains, none of his crazed ramblings had anything to do with the issues that the MHRM supports.

[–]tallwheel 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah. I disagree with that. The dude was only interested in getting women. That's why he tried the PUA thing. There's no evidence to suggest he gave two shits at all about men's legal rights, divorce, paternity issues, etc. Why would he subscribe here?

Or are you just operating on the often made accusation that all MRA's motivation for fighting for their rights is really rooted in misogyny, and because we can't get laid? I suppose if that's what you think, then you would have no trouble believing that Elliot was just like an MRA.
