Yesterday I went to my eldest son's primary school for an information evening and a meeting with all the teachers, I met a lot of wonderful people there, apparently my neighbour's son and daughter go to the same school. But while the principal of the school gave her speech she started thanking all the administrators and the teachers, 95% of all the students are boys, but 100% of the staff is female.

All the supportive staff was female, all the assistants were female, not a single male there. A few years ago I asked a group of kindergarten teachers if there was a male teacher, they all talked very glad about a male teacher they knew and how he had a special care with kids, a teacher that worked there half a decade ago. They told me how important it was to have a male teacher and that they have a special way of interacting with children and how they wished that there were more male teachers, but there aren't.

I'm sure that if I asked the teachers at his current school that they would have answered the same, the male teachers just simply aren't there.

For whatever reason Reddit doesn't let me post anything long, it just gives an error message. Continued below.
