Will artificial wombs help this movement?

I actually disagree.

I doubt artificial wombs would bring about any significant benefit to men, and their existence may actually be used to make men's lives worse..

First of all, one of the common threads that runs through the majority of men's issues is the Apex Fallacy. Basically Feminists look at the top 500 CEOs and see that 93% are men, and then claim that men have it great. But they completely ignore that the majority of men are not CEOs. They look at the highest payed sports players and see they're mostly men, they look at all the highest paying jobs and see they're mostly men.. They never look at the homeless, or the prisons..

And when Feminists claim that they want what men have, what they mean is they want what rich, successful, powerful men have.. They don't want the lives that most men live.. They don't want to work long hours in physically demanding jobs that get no respect, to give the majority of their money to someone else, and barely see their kids growing up..

With that said...

What sort of men will have access to Artificial Wombs? What sort of men will be able to rent an expensive piece of medical equipment for 9 months and pay for 24/7 supervision by a trained medical professional? What sort of men will be able to take years off work to raise a child, or pay for a full time nanny to help them raise their child while they work?

The answer is obvious really, very rich and successful men. Your average Joe-Schmoe working at a gas station isn't going to be able to pay a few hundred thousand for an artificial womb baby, and trying to hold down a full time job while also caring for a newborn isn't going to work either. The government certainly isn't going to step in with welfare for a man who deliberately chose to make a baby all by himself, if he can't care for it, they'll take the child off him.

So the existence of Artificial Wombs does nothing to benefit the average guy. But Feminists will use it as a stick to bash men with. eg. "If you didn't want to pay alimony to your wife for 20 years you could have just used an artificial womb!". Getting a woman pregnant (rather than artificial means) will be painted as a choice men make, even though for most men it's the only choice they can afford. And since "it's what they chose", they will be held full responsible for the consequences of their actions, without consideration or compassion. Divorced women will be painted the victims of callous men who used them like an appliance then discarded them, because they were too cheap to hire an incubator.

Apart from the very wealthy, about the only men who will benefit from artificial wombs will be gay couples.

It would be interesting to see how the argument for abortion shifts.

Right now they're saying my body my choice and they use that as a way to deny men any reproductive Rights. If instead the fertilized egg could be removed and put in an artificial womb (respecting her bodily autonomy) then presented to her with a bill in a few months the rhetoric will have to change to the more honest "we don't want to get stuck with kids".

Which would be much harder to deny for men too without just being open about your misandry.

I don't this it will have the prolific liberating affect people might assume. I think it will create some discussions around the meaning of life and that's about it.

I'm sure it will start the process. Unfortunately with all new advances there's a waiting period before they really start to do any noticeable changes to society as a whole though.

Like men are virtually unable to adopt children, we'll also be virtually locked out of using artificial wombs without a woman involved, and it'll simply be used to make women more entitled by giving them the ability to have children without any physical costs while likely, until the tech is perfected, giving their children a worse start in life by not transferring immunity and such things that for the foreseeable future will only occur in natural pregnancy and birth. The children will also have worse quality nutrition from formula because the mother won't be lactating. In the end, women will be more entitled, children will be worse off, and men will remain second class citizens with no say that are presented as predators to ensure they stay that way -- this is pretty standard for any tech progress in these regards.

For what would we need women, then? They could be gone and the only thing we would notice is a rise in productivity, because no more nagging and bitching. The X chromosome contains all the information to create a female as well as a male. The Y just - epileptics - tells which switches to turn off and which to turn on. I actually think I'm going to write a short story on this here...

Edit: I missed one thing: Why do we evacuate (from a ship) women and children first? So the men have time to solve the problem.
