I donated what I could to the Allentown Rescue Mission because they are a shelter for men (many with drug or alcohol problems) in my area. I have noticed that many of the shelters in my area are only for women and children, very few are for families or just men.

Please donate to your local shelters for men, women, children, and families; especially over the next few months.

Great, I've got one I support as well. I was fixing to mail my Thanksgiving donation in but I am going to open the envelope and put this sub in the "In Honor of:" blank.

On a side note, I highly encourage people to get involved in men's homeless shelters. It doesn't have to be monetary and even just going down for a few hours to act as a mentor to some of these guys means a lot to them.
