Fair point. I am glad however that both of the schools my daughter has gone to have made a big deal about fathers day, and are specifically inclusive of fathers, one of them being an all girls school.

Last IWD the girls at the school I worked at got to go to a party while the boys did busy work. A number of boys were like, why is there no International Men's Day. To which there's no good answer. Either you lie and tell them they don't have a day, or tell them the even worse truth, which is that there is a day but no one cares.

If you support the many achievements men have done and the push for equality in areas men have not yet received it, then celebrate international mens day.

Many women are children and they like celebrations of themselves and if you not do it, it's the equivalent of not telling them happy birthday and they get very angry.
