There's no real reason to perform circumcision in a first world country. America is moving away from them, and even conditions where we would have circumcised a boy years ago can now be treated with non-surgical means like creams. (Spoilers: My own son has a urology consult and will likely get a cream per his pediatrician's recommendation since none of us think surgery is a first choice.)

I've gotten nothing, but flak for not having my children circumcised. The nurses at the hospital asked at least 3 times if I was sure and went over the benefits as many times. You'd think they were getting a bounty for every foreskin they turned in.

Honestly there's a part of me that feels like every person who has ever advocated, or allowed, thier child to be circumcised shortly after birth should be forced to under go the most extreme circumcision that each of the respective sexes can face before they're allowed to do that to thier child.

Circumcision is mutilation and the people who excuse it legitimately deserve the absolute worst constant pain a human being can go through multiplied by 10 for the rest of thier sack of shit lives.

I don't understand why just because something is "religious" it gets a free pass. Something being religious is not an argument in itself. It has no factual basis for an argument.

I definitely do not agree with the practice of circumcising infants. I think it's barbaric and should be illegal without medical reasons. But I still think female circumcision is quite different to male and it really isn't the same thing. Like circumcised men can have normal healthy sex lives but like I don't believe this is the case with circumcised females?
