Women's rights are not enough

I made a thread about this the other day. I believe in situations like this children should get priority not women. Age and frailty matters, gender does not. Women like this need to get off their pedestals and high horses. Their entitled attitude pisses me off.

Uh, does Amber not realize that there were men on board as well? Oh, that's right, men are disposable, there lives do not matter according to the author.

I'm skeptical about the authors motivation, some people only care about men's rights because of the negative impacts on woman, and the family unit. They still view men in a utilitarian way.

Is it the man’s responsibility to think of the women and children first or have times changed in the wake of feminism?

Men no longer owe their lives to women who are strangers.

women are supposedly equal to men, so if I were in that situation only the children and crippled would take priority

based on the title I expected to see an article full of female supremacism apology. Pleasantly surprised, even with the sexist comment about life-boats. (children sure, but otherwise men certainly should fend for themselves)

On the whole however, it was good.
