Hoff-Sommers, author of “The War Against Boys” advocates boys only schools as the only viable means for boys to escape the discrimination against them in education.

The problem I see with this is every time we sex segregate, the division is never equal, men always get shafted.

Sex specific domestic violence shelters means most are for women and few are for men. Canada just opened a single men’s DV shelter.

Sports: We cut opportunities for men in the name of equality, force men’s sports to subsidize women’s sports. (But of course we don’t cut women from palates, yoga, etc in the name of equality). Many leagues now forbid men who identify as women to participate in women’s sports, but women who identify as men can participate in men’s sports.

Sex specific selective service means all men must register but no women.

Health: women’s only government health services, none for men.

Sex specific safe spaces: fine for women but generally not for men.

When the UN and other such organizations make aid or other resources sex specific, the vast majority goes to females.

So, I think if men and women were given equal resources and equal opportunities, men would flourish under segregation, but it’s a pipe dream to think men’s side will ever receive equality. When resources are sex-segregated, men always get shafted.

There are places such as gyms where I feel uncomfortable with women watching me, judging me or worse

My gym has a women only space so they can feel safe, what about a men's only space?

I'd also love to go out drinking with the lads in a girl free zone. So we can just drink and have banter instead of the singles ones(sometimes married ones too) trying to score

I would wish that we could have more voluntary men-only spaces.

But personally, I don't see voluntary segregation, even for a lifetime as a big problem for me.

There are already billions of men on the planet, If I need something, odds are good that there is at least a man somewhere that can help me and work with me. It's unlikely for me to come across something that only a woman can fix and not a man, so yeah...

I don't care about romantic and sexual encounters as I already don't have them and don't care about them. If anything, reduced temptation is a nice extra.

I've already voluntarily "segregated" myself, having absolutely no taste for mindgames, gossips, entitlement, double-standards, passive-aggressive behaviours or openly displayed misandry.

Male only schools and gyms could be indeed nice for everybody. The kinda sad thing here is the high probability it will never happen except if women ask for it.

We have equality now. There is no reason for women only spaces without having the same equal opportunity for men only spaces. There is zero requirement now for any women only promotions of certain industries, recruitment drives aimed at women, etc. Full opportunity of choice is there

What I really want is the removal of all gender-biased or sex-biased spaces, except where there is a safety rationale or a single sex requirement where the introduction of someone of the different sex prevents the issues being raised and considered. And on that basis, no male should be allowed in that female space and no female in the male space.

Such specific issues may include discrimination, mental health, suicide prevention, access to services, abuse etc. We know and always see that when men raise these issues, there are always women who reverse the issue and talk about them instead, making themselves the victim. Such men spaces should never include women. And the solutions for men to address men’s problems should be produced by men, and as long as there is no discrimination in the solution and it addresses the issue directly without impinging on the rights of others, it should be implemented by all.

Ridicule, shame, guilt, gaslighting and deflection of the issue should be forbidden. Evidence gathering and objectivity should be a requirement, and diversity- , inclusion- and equality-based respectful solutions implemented. By diversity and inclusion, I also mean that cis, white, hetero and men are each single aspects on the diversity range and their inclusion is required by law, because any exclusion is discriminatory.

Well "safety" sure wouldn't be a priority for me in having a men's only space. My interest would primarily be camaraderie.

I think the social tradition of men's clubs that seems to have died out in the 80's is a tragedy. I'd be happy seeing that revived.

Of course, there are still de facto men's clubs today. Some sports and hobby groups are essentially male-only, even if they don't always explicitly enforce this. Churches are likely to have specifically male-only groups, but of course you have to be religious or religiously curious to join.

So there are some opportunities for this, but I'd be happy if there were more.

And I don't see this as "giving up" anything. You can participate heavily in a men's club or even attend a men-only school and still go out and date women. Doesn't have to be an either/or thing.

No. I don’t think segregation ever helps.

We need to deconstruct the lies in society and all accept that men and women are different without making men out to be evil.

Imagine a world where we all would be truly segregated. I think Bear Grylls island experiment showed us how this would turn out. But would it really be better for society, rather than finding a way to all work together ?

No, I just wish both men and ESPECIALLY women could listen to eachother problems, without making the issue about them. We both have our own issues. We don't need to fight allong each other, but I just wish we could both listen to eachother.

I have a very loving mother, and 2 sisters who I very much love. I listen to them, and they listen to me. In any way possible, from hobbies, to mental health, to sports, to relationships, whatever. And I can't explain how powerfull that is, how much you learn about the other sexes. And I strongly believe that it's important for society if we would do so.

Yes, segregation would be a good thing. If only for bring back male spaces more where not all needs have to benefit women also.

Like old gentleman's clubs. Gay bars. Boyscouts.

Having spaces for a specific gender i never seen as bad. Cause for the simple fact. Time and time again. It's just proven we like different things.

And many places have a girls night where only girls are allowed. But you never see a guys/boy's night and i do think men really want to have spaces where they dont get judged so much by women. And can just be them self. Now mostly that happens by meeting up at each other's houses or online party

But i do think there is a strong demand for men to have their own spaces so they could be more them self free from the judgment that happens so much nowadays. Would also help a lot of men lose some stress.

So yeah think would be a good thing mostly.

Ow yea if there women-only spaces in public transportation there should be men-only spaces too.

Can't giving special treatment of something the other gender could also have. Like there are no men who fear women. So if they bring women-only spots i would like to see men-only spots too

But knowing how the world works properly wont happen just like ladies' nights and no gentleman's nights.

And schools in general teach more in the way girls learn better. So having boys-only schools. And learning the way boys lean better would massively benefit men as a whole. In teaching the ways that work the best for them. Learning walls of text boys have never been great at. Men are more hands-on more visual in learning.

But for sure the demand is there
