For the Red Pill Men, when/why was it the your turned to TRP and what about TRP was there that appealed with you to make you stay?

I don't remember exactly how I found TRP, but I'm sure it was the same way 95% of people find it; some other sub talks trash on it, and people who have never heard of it have to go check it out because they are intrigued.

When I first started reading it, it was pretty tough to take it all in it. The required reading on the sidebar seemed like a collection of the worst of the manosphere, the field reports seemed outlandish at best and outright lies at worst, and the terminology they used was very strange; but on the flip-side, I was instantly in love with the raw bluntness of the language and the free exchange of ideas and criticisms.

Then I started really absorbing red pill philosophy and applying it to my own past experiences... and I realized that what I was reading was correct almost 100% of the time, at least in the context of my own life. I was raised by a household of women and trained to be a respectable gentleman, but being a nice guy never really got me anything except being lied to, cheated on, manipulated and heartbroken. But there were times when I got fed up with my girlfriends being shitty, naturally embraced an assertive, masculine attitude and stood up for myself (and this was before I ever heard of TRP) and only then did my old relationships improve and my girlfriends stopped playing games. The problem was that those were fleeting moments of nature overtaking nurture, I didn't continue being that guy and my relationships continued to fall apart when I fell back into old patterns. I was too disconnected to recognize the pattern and see why things weren't working with the girls in my life, but TRP taught me those lessons and framed everything in a way that made me understand all the ways I had been failing in my relationships. Once I realized that, I knew these guys were onto something.

Today, I don't agree 100% with everything found on that sub, because we're humans and humans are flawed creatures. But the core concepts of TRP are absolutely something that has benefited me greatly in my dealings with women. This shit works most of the time. And also, it can't be overstated how much TRP provides a place where men can just let the defenses down and be men, talk about manly things, be blunt, be bold and say whatever we want no matter how un-PC it might be. A lot of men have an excess of natural aggression and energy that they just don't have a way to express or release, and TRP fills that void for a lot of men. Bill Maher has a comedy routine where he talks about how it's kind of a crime just to be a man in society these days, and that pressure can really be overbearing after a while. TRP is the first place I've found where you can vent a little and not worry about repercussions, and that is fucking invaluable in the world of today.

I discovered TRP, specifically, last summer, when I was desperately looking for relationship/marriage advice around the internet.

What made me stay interested was the realization that A) very little of what I was reading was new, but it was in a fairly useful format, and that it B) reflected the kind of person I was when I was experiencing fully inspiring and free relationships with the opposite sex.

I've been interested in the questions raised by TRP for decades now, and had seen a lot of the same points being made long before TRP aggregated that content, so I know that a lot of "Red Pill" ideas reflect ideas found in spheres far beyond just that specific subreddit. Often, what I had read or heard previously was completely different in tone, but not necessarily in content. Often, the tone of TRP grates on me, but I don't care if I'm able to filter out useful content.

Additionally, I realized that so much of what TRP is advocating is exactly what I had learned about on my own. Knowledge that absolutely made me way more successful both with and for women. If anyone had asked me for advice (as many have done over the years), I'm sure I would have worded it very differently from how TRP words it (if I could have worded it at all - it's hard to translate something that is essentially ontological into an intellectually useful distinction), but my advice would have been pretty much the same.

I'd say I'm post-RP these days. I turned to TRP/Seduction on Reddit because those guys said they had some answers that would help, because my dating life sucked and didn't make one damn bit of sense to me. What made me keep reading about it was other dudes' testimonials were very similar to my own.

I just write stuff in private. I try and take what I've learned outside of the pill metaphor and put things in more normalized terms - and I've got my own "philosophy" that works just fine for me. I hang around PPD for leftover data in case I missed anything from RP. Plus the RP sub A) you have to wait around before you can post, B) it's harder to detoxify their material. Usually PPD gets their hands on significant RP stuff and normalizes it.

Discovered it from /pol/. I used to believe in true love and that women were these angelic creatures, with these gift of kindness and understanding. But I started to notice that girls only went after rich and muscular men.Numerous studies confirmed this hypothesis about women being attracted to money. Then I discovered about how much women gossip about how men and their supposed "girlfriends" behind their back. I also use to believe women cared about men. Turns out that we are disposable to women. Women don't care or love men as we were brainwashed to believe. They love a man's status, money, and muscles. As soon as you lose any of those attributes she will go and leach on another poor soul like a parasite. No turning back for me.

In the beginning of college, my first semester, I had a girlfriend named Nina. All the time I was dating her, she would never give me oral sex, let me do anal, or even give me handjobs. She always said that she didn't feel those things were right to do and wasn't at all turned on by the idea of "sticking a dick" in her mouth. I couldn't believe my eyes. What shocked me more than her cheating on me though was that, her I was, devoted boyfriend, loving and caring, yet here she is giving herself to two frat bros at the drop of a hat, doing everything with them I ever wanted. I remember crying right on the spot and simply walking out of the party. I knew that what a girl said and what she really meant were two different things. I knew something was up.

After that experience, I started looking on the internet for guidance, and came across the red pill. A lot of the ideas really clicked with me because its about putting yourself first as a male and having females come in second. I just really liked the stuff about self empowerment and being a masculine man. I don't necessarily agree with all the critiques of society and feminism, but I am 100% backed by the theories on sexuality and mating all the way.

I got red pilled on my own. Moved abroad, started to see the narrative from a different point of view and pretty much all my beliefs turned to ashes. I was angry and in constant shock at how many things were just not the way I thought they were. This is not limited to man-woman relationships, but rather a very general spectrum of different things.

I became very disenchanted with life for years and, in a way, I'm still mourning the naive man I was.

I found it when it kept coming up on Reddit from people talking about how horrible it is.

It is not something I buy into completely but the reason I call myself purple is because I do think they get some things right and some of the advice is good.

I used to be an awkward kid who was scared to talk to girls, you know the type. I found it hard to work out what I was doing wrong because all I'd been told by people around me is "just be yourself" which isn't real advice.

Reading on TRP that, in fact, all the stuff people kept saying was horrible and sexist, like women liking power, was actually true, I realised it meshed with my personal experience too. When I had girlfriends in the past I was very awkward a lot of the time and they got sick of it because I couldn't man up.

So I started to become more confident and act more dominant and now I have a girlfriend who loves me specifically because I act dominant.

This is not an act either, to be honest with you I am still socially awkward around people I don't know but I was always more confident with male friends who I knew well, all that changed is I learned to become genuinely more confident around girls as well and that made all the difference.

Anecdotally I have also found stuff like dread gaming to work for building attraction and it's not damaged my relationship at all despite how much BP hates on it. There's a reason the hate is always around morality and not how effective it is. Because even they can't deny this shit is effective, it just hurts their feels to think about that.

I was mostly RP before I stumbled on the sub a few years back. I went through several failed relationships and started formulating ideas about the true nature of women. I was lucky to be born attractive, but I was hugely beta in personality. I accidentally discovered many concepts about women that TRP had already deduced. When I came across the sub, it read like a Unifying Theory of Relationships. Suddenly everything I experienced made a ton of sense.

I had a very attractive girl wrapped around my finger when I was a leader of men, aloof, and commanding (not demanding). When we actually got into a relationship, I became needy and she bailed. She was an extreme case of a RPW, and she was kind enough to tell me...in less exacting terms...that I was a beta phaggot. Trying to understand WTF she was talking about (as I thought I was being the "perfect boyfriend") I found the redpill, and it perfectly matched exactly how I got her, and the person I became inside the relationship that lost her. I stuck around to try to create, at least for myself, a vocabulary around which I could discuss this in layman's terms outside TRP. The actual TRP subreddit became a facet in this several years after I initially discovered the greater manosphere.

I saw trp but didn't really read into it too much until after an experience with my girlfriend.

I used to think like a blue pill, "my girlfriend would never cheat on me!" Well I started getting more into gaming and not spending as much time with her. I found out she was lying to me and was seeing her coworker and emotionally cheating on me with him. Was my first realization of "awalt" and realizing that I can never just be "comfortable" and always need to be improving and be on my game.

After that it was just reading the stories of others and realizing how it pertained to my life. Things like women choose the relationship, and are only around if you benefit them in some way. Or to watch for their actions and not what they say. It helped understand it more with videos like mark rudov or Patrice oneil. I realized trp isn't about hating women it's about understand the real world we live in and how to adjust my life's game plan accordingly.

Add in seeing how every relationship of everyone I knew worked. The marriages that lasted are the captain/first mate dynamic. Now that I see the world thru the red lense, I understand stuff better. Everyone has an agenda.

Found a circle jerky post on trollx about how the red pill sabotaged a relationship or some shit, got into flame wars with some haters.

Wasn't getting through to them.

Decided to check out TRP and do some research, up until then I felt I never needed to pursue advanced strategy with Women. Started reading the side bar stuff and it was like a revelation after revelation. I couldn't believe how accurate TRP 'theories' coincided with women from my past. It was uncanny how accurate what was written was just like the experiences I had with girls. Not only that but it eloquently explained why and what was happening. The rest is history.

I first heard of it through other subreddits trashing it then just decided to check it out one day. Turns out that a lot of the information and philosophy there was similar to a lot of the things I had already been learning throughout life so I decided to sub. I didn't really seek out TRP for any kind of guidance or whatnot. A lot of my views on stuff is just developed from going through life.
