That is a mad sense of pressure knowing that you not only have to be good enough for her(which is already a difficult enough task) you also have to be good enough for her friends. Every action of your is going to be scrutinized. If you’re not well endowed you’re going to be ridiculed by her friends, etc etc. Headache

Ehh not that weird, friends are in the lovey dovey stage and unlikely to see red flags. The one time a friend didn’t listen he ended up beating her when drunk and we all told her it was a huge possibility of happening.

I’ve never run into it. Women showing off a new partner? Sure. Hoping their friends will also like new partner? Absolutely. But approval and sabotage? Never seen it. But my friends don’t suck.

I would never date a girl, who has a friend or friends like that. It just means she has no ideas of her own and if every aspect has to be approved by her friends that's just sad.

Males/men do similar things under certain circumstances, like in the military if you're junior enlisted you're supposed to notify your chain of command if you're about to get married and in all likelihood when they do their chain of command will attempt to dissuade them from marrying that stripper (to little avail)...

For a more relevant example manosphere men will give heads up to their homies of their girlfriends' free spirited past (usually by sending old nudes and sextapes).

It’s just another level beyond having her family approve of you. I don’t think that that should go away, so why should friend approval in addition to that be such a big deal to men?

It makes sense that the people who love a person also want the best for him or her. A man’s friends would try to warn a man if they thought he was being scammed by a woman or if they thought that he was dating a cheater, for instance.
