So researchers have theorized their are two types of status, prestige based (earned, freely given status) and dominance based (status taken/controlled by force/fear). Dominance based status seems to resemble the Gervais idea of power being maintained by withholding (being colder, self interested, manipulative, dread game), whereas prestige status is about having superior skills, accomplishments that others wish to copy and about being friendly/generous, philanthropic with others. People avoid looking directly at high dominance men but enjoy looking directly at people with high prestige status. The study above covers the two and finds women generally are more attracted to prestige based status, even for short term relationships. Thoughts? Also, if you are red pill do you try to cultivate prestige based status more or dominance based status? Which type of status do you think red pill dogma emphasizes/values more?

red pill seems to suggest the attractive jerk is most desirable to women, this research suggests otherwise (even for short term relationships). red pillers frequently talk about the importance of dominance (13 pages of /r/theredpill search results for that term), i don't see prestige mentioned remotely as often (1.5 pages of /r/theredpill search results). this is odd since if you look at the research prestige is a more changeable trait than dominance which involves things like height and facial structure.
