Well we don’t actually know how attractive the women in this study are. Maybe they’re much better looking than the men who messaged them after they were rejected. Sometimes people don’t just get rejected because they’re unattractive.

Let’s look at some facts(? Kinda) for fun

They’ve been rejected by someone they’re interested in.

They’re (most likely) in a bad mood because rejection tends to do that.

Someone new who they are uninterested in messages them, and they are (according to the study, meh) unattractive.

Then there’s two options.

A. They’re mad that an ugly guy messaged them because they feel offended and possibly uglier know that he thinks he can get her, and she thinks “fuck this is all I can get” and she’s correct. (maybe?? I mean sometimes people date people hotter than them by miles.”) -a. Or maybe she thinks fuck you for thinking you can talk to me. I can obviously do better and you’re stupid. And she’s incorrect. (Again maybe, if we assume this is based on looks alone.)

B. They’re mad that an ugly guy messaged them because they feel offended and possibly uglier know that he thinks he can get her, and she thinks “fuck this is all I can get” and she’s incorrect.

-a. Or maybe she thinks fuck you for thinking you can talk to me. I can obviously do better and you’re stupid. And she’s correct. (Kinda bitchy but a valid possibility)

Sorry this was such a long reply, I just thought it would be interesting to explore all the possibilities. I’m sure there’s more but these seem like the most plausible to me.

(This is gonna be a really long post mostly about me so skip it if thats sounds as annoying to you as it does to me)

I maybe possibly can’t really speak for most people because (and I hate saying this because everyone says they have it and idk it feels cringy) bOdY DySmORpHiA. BUT ILL GIVE IT A SHOT.

So I really have don’t have a very good understanding most days about what I look like. But I think I’m pretty average because I’m fat (not insanely, like Amy Schumer level with a much larger chest) and I have (Based on the what other people have said to me, but people do lie) a pretty face and I don’t try to date super attractive people because like why?

First of all, I would probably get rejected in the first place which doesn’t feel awesome.

Secondly, we literally would look awful together. I don’t want people to constantly wonder “why the fuck is he with her” and in pictures I wouldn’t look like his partner, I’d probably look like his cousin or friend or something, honestly and aesthetics are just really important to me, like even if no one else saw it as weird, I would think we were a weird looking couple.

Point 3, idk maybe I’m a crazy bitch, but I think he would cheat on me and even if he didn’t I’d be so paranoid of other women thinking “yeah they’re obviously not together, I can just hit on him.”

Finally, and most importantly, even if all of the other points weren’t there, I (and I think many others) don’t think that stereotypically attractive people are the most attractive people.

My ideal man, (which is not who I always date by the way, I also find other types of people attractive) is a tall ( I know I know, but I’m 5’2” tall is 5’8” to me) and a dad bod. Love cute chubby bellies to lay on and snuggle. I like guys with chest hair and beards. I’m really in love with curly hair mullets right now, couldn’t tell you why. Just seeing a lot of them recently that look super cute. My only ACTUAL MUSTS are not being 100 pounds or 300 pounds or an amputee (it’s a phobia I know it’s ableist, but it gives me panic attacks to see stubs), and he has to have is a deep voice. High pitched voices are fine when I’m talking to someone, but fucking them is impossible. The noises are fucking awful to me. I have slept with a guy who was like way better looking than me and didn’t see him again because the sounds he made in bed embarrassed me because of his high voice. I don’t like blonde guys because they usually look like my dad. I can’t think of anything else at the moment, but that doesn’t really matter. I’m just trying to make the point that everyone has their individual ideal.

Model level attractive people aren’t the only attractive people. That’s fuckin true no matter how bad incels don’t want to believe it. My first kiss was a guy who was a short Mexican guy who was my only close male friend at the time and he was cuuuute, but real dumb so I didn’t sleep with him, probably should have because I didn’t get to know someone else well enough to feel comfortable fucking them until I was t w e n t y. (I had opportunities but I just can’t have casual sex, its just not for me)

Idk this is all to say I don’t think that MOST women are like that. People can’t be grouped together the way a lot of this subreddit tries to. It just doesn’t apply to real life people.

Well, they have to be sharing at some point. Its impossible for half the population to have more sex than the other half and a percentage of that half not share a small % of the other. Its basic math.

Take 100 people in a room. 50 staight men and 50 straigt women. 30% of the 50 men(15) get no sex 9% of women (4.5) get no sex. That leaves 45.5 women, sharing 35 of the men. In this case, 10.5 women or 25% of the original total MUST have shared a man at least once mathematically speaking.Its a mathematical impossibility for it to be otherwise.

The recent studies on tinder/old in general are showing that as a man, you have a ridiculously low chance of getting any attention on online dating. My theory is basically that since male sexlessness has trippled in the last 10 years and its been roughly 10 years since OLD has really taken off as the main dating tool, OLD is for the most part single handedly responsible for changing the dynamics between men and women, resulting in a net growth of inceldom and hence the existence of this and many other incel forums.

In my experience not a single woman I know acts like what you describe.

What do you mean? We know mathematically its impossible for women not to share, when more than 1/3 of the male population is not included in the sexual marketplace. You can say w/e the hell you want, but you have to explain it based on the data. You cant just say "Well I know that the data makes it mathematically impossible for women not to be sharing men, but in my anecdotal experience says otherwise.

I guess maybe you think the idea of women knowingly sharing men is repulsive and unbelievable to you. However, I never claimed they knowingly do. In fact, OLD has made it easier for your average 'player'/high smv male to have multiple women. In the past, a player wouldn't be able to juggle more than one girl usually because all the girls he would juggle would know each other and talk. OLD has made it so that you have no idea who the guy is sleeping with.

Alot of players lie to women telling them they will eventually make them their GF in order to get them to agree to sex more easily and OLD makes it so much easier for them to lie and get away with it.

Georgia, yeah always small towns. In a college town now. Men choose, when accept or reject for the most part. My friends and I are mostly bi or lesbians (just theatre major things) and only really started dating women when we got to college because parents.

We’ve noticed that we take a lot longer to actually ask women on a date or ask her if she wants to kiss, fuck, etc. because we’ve all been so used to men making the first move our whole lives. Two women waiting for one to make a move is so exhausting sometimes. I’ve just learned that with the types of women I date, I gotta just do it or it won’t happen.

You feel so awesome after you do it though, because then you’re finally certain that she’s just been waiting for it and didn’t secretly think you were annoying the whole time. But I still haven’t been able to go all the way with a woman yet because it’s like really scary to ask, and worse if you’re inexperienced and she says yes and then what? You’re like “what in lesbian porn is fake besides all of it.”

But like, I’m not gonna sit here and call myself an incel like it’s not been 100% my own sheepishness that’s stopped me. But this is the closest I can get to relating to the male experience of dating (at least where I’m from.)
