After the feedback from Purge Week, the mod team has decided to tweak our Saturday and Sunday mega-threads. Here's what we're going to try out.

The Sunday Off-Topic thread, which we try to leave up all week, will remain unchanged. It will still be for totally off-topic stuff - movies, random thoughts/question, what people are doing over the weekend, music, etc. Ideally, this will continue to be a chill thread.

The Saturday thread is going to be adjusted. We've decided the current approach is unclear, and excludes some topics that people want to discuss, but which aren't appropriate for the whole forum for a variety of reasons.

Starting this Saturday, we're going to change the "Topic" thread to a general 'Gender Wars' thread. Rules about civil comments, race-baiting, etc. will still be enforced in this thread, and it will be for any and all genders wars issues, such as:

  • Incels-related content
  • Personal advice
  • The Mens Rights movement
  • Feminism
  • Racial issues in dating (dating as black woman, Indian man, etc.)
  • Anything you don't feel warrants a full post, but still want to bring up.

All of the content listed above is going to be removed outside of this thread at moderator discretion. Which in practice means that all the racial content, the incels content, and personal advice threads will be removed. We are going to try being more relaxed about posts related to feminism. But with that said, we will be removing all the BS "women of PPD, defend this feminist position you never took" threads, as those are annoying and circlejerky.

After a week or two we'll evaluate and see if this new approach is any better or if it's worse.
