My thyroid has the size and function of an 11 years old. So it has a heavy underfunction but i keep me reasonable lean without taking any medics because of nutrition and sufficient muscle mass.

Take all people complaining they can't lose weight because of genetics, illness whatever. 99% of them just don't try.

Metabolism was previously thought to be some magical force that makes you skinny or fat. Then it was shown to just be a reflection of what you are and what you do. ie more muscle and more activity costs more calories. (Brain activity too. Fat people tend to be stupid)

Now, however, we have found that there is a magical force that makes you skinny or fat. It turns out that you subconsciously burn calories with subtle things like being twitchy and pacing and it accounts for several hundred calories per day with some people.

The good news here for fatasses is that if you're just chill all the time and not burning excess calories like this, you can put on muscle way faster. Yeah it's fun never having to cut but I also can't bulk. Play the hand you were dealt and get big.
