In the current sub we talk about at least 3 types of TRP:

  1. Most /r/TheRedPill top page voted material: circlejerking about "hamsters", "post wall", "cock carousel", etc, generalizing a whole gender from 3 redditlog posts and 2 anecdotal evidence, bitching about women being bitches and other stuff like this.

  2. Real hatred and misogyny. Extremist material indistinguishable from what white supremacy groups would post. This stuff is quite often downvoted even in TRP. This is how TRP is mostly depicted in /r/TheBluePill.

  3. Self improvement. From the gym to feeling in control of your emotions and love life, noticing some differences between sexes, etc. Aside from the self improvement stuff there's also some debating "zero tolerance" political correctness, radical feminism, etc. This kind doesn't hit TRP's front page very often, in here most people having those views label themselves purple pill but there are also some with red pill tags.

And there's also 3 types of TBP:

  1. Most /r/TheBluePill top page these days: closer to SRS than satire, exaggerating TRP's negative traits, complete lack of empathy, "label me offended" posts.

  2. TBP as depicted in /r/TheRedPill. Beta males, white knights, feminazis, tumblr like social justice warriors, disney naivety.

  3. Not subscribing to TRP's views and theories. Opposing what I've described at TRP points 1 and 2. This is what a lot of people in the current sub mean when they say they are BP.

This is of course a rough categorization, but my idea stands: when we debate, the sides mean very different things when they talk about pills. And this generates a lot of miscommunication. I think the pills are type 1 by definition. That's the result of what people in a pill vote to their front page. When a side attacks the other pill, they usually generalize it as being of type 2. When people defend their pill they usually say it's type 3. As a note I hold type 3 views from both pills.

So, how can we debate things which we define very differently?
