I'm curious because people always say men are taking advantage of women when this happens. This makes me stop and think and as someone who has seen a lot of relationships and marriages I feel like it's quite the opposite. Most of the time I find that younger men and men who struggle with women are the most abusive. I've known men who might sleep with a women and never call her again but it's always younger men or men who are insecure that are abusive and controlling.

I feel like any relationship regardless of age can be abusive and the idea that a man dating a younger woman is creepy is mostly demeaning to women. It's essentially saying you don't trust women enough to pick their own partners correctly and while that may be true for some women I absolutely believe that is a minority of them.

When I meet women who are dating men that are older they normally cite a number of completely valid reasons like:

He was so intentional and focused and I really admired that. It's helped me better myself.

He was honestly just so much more confident and mature in comparison to most of the guys I dated and that was a nice change of pace.

He seemed like he wanted me for more than sex and I always felt really safe around him because of that.

I'm mostly looking for some female perspective both younger and older.
