Well, you have to pay child support. So you have to work, but then you also have to pay your bills so you have to work more to make more money. So you don’t get to see your children as much as you’d want. Then you work more to make more money to pay you bills the other parent can take you to court and ask for more money, because you’re making more to try and survive plus still trying to be involved in the kids life. So child support goes up because you are making more money. So now you get a second job, even less time with the kids. Now you’re making more money so guess what back to court. I’m up to 1400 a month. If i didn’t have to pay that much I could def spend a lot more time with them and just be involved in their lives. It’s draining having to pay support and still trying to support yourself.

(My Experience)

I haven't experienced it first hand, but I have felt it in the other side. I feel real bad for my dad, he has to pay a butt load of money to the child support system for me and my sister.

And I always felt just so bad for him because he didn't have any control over it, courts in Miami give moms the pussy pass for reign of the parental control because of "woman reason". I just want my 18th birthday to come soon, so he doesn't have to pay for me anymore. And 3 more years only left for my sister.

I just hate this system in the way it works, they make dads pay a crap load of money for their child that they don't have the power to see everyday of their lives due to these evil exes that they've had. And I hope less of this "I gave birth to them privilege" is taken away in the forseable future, because it's ruining alot of lives.

The only one I saw that was stupid was comparing male circumcision. This is one I see MRA’s bring up a lot and I face palm every time I hear it.

There are clearly medically proven advantages to being circumcised for men, less likely to catch std’s and infection just to name a few. A man can be circumcised and live a totally normal, sexually fulfilling life. Women in the other hand have their clitoris’s removed when circumcised. This makes it difficult to feel pleasure during sex and often times just turns sex into a painful chore for the sole purpose of reproduction. Apples and oranges.

Edit: didn’t think this was going to get so heated. Most of you are focusing on medical pros and cons are are completely skipping the point of this comment: I am a circumcised male. I enjoy sex with no complaints about sensitivity. Circumcised women don’t feel pleasure during sex. At all. Hurts every time. Most men can enjoy sex after circumcision, ALL women cannot. Get it?

You’re misinformed. For one, you said “to name a few” when you only gave one justification (less likely to catch diseases/infections). And even this is not fully true.

For instance, “The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) male circumcision policy states that while there are potential medical benefits of newborn male circumcision, the data are insufficient to recommend routine neonatal circumcision.” There is some evidence that circumcision can have very modest effects of reducing std infections, but not nearly enough for it to be medically justified. Same for infections like UTI, the difference is minimal and not nearly significant enough to justify permanently mutilating a baby who can’t give any consent.

Male circumcision is “cosmetic” surgery at best and abuse and mutilation at worst. And you’re wrong about having no negative effects. Removing thousands of the most sensitive nerve endings absolutely does have a significant negative effect on a mans ability to have pleasurable sex.

Just look at where the concept of the practice came from. It’s a tradition from ancient times that Had a principle aim to just reduce masturbation and “improper” sexual behavior. The US is one of the only countries now that actually practices this barbaric tradition at a widespread level (not just for religious reasons). The rest of the world has realized that marginal and inconclusive health benefits do not come close to mutilating babies with life long negative effects.

I hope learning more about this changes your perspective so you no longer call it “stupid” to suggest that male circumcision is wrong and comparable to FGM.

I repeat: you’re misinformed.

For one, “improper hygiene” is not at all a justified reason for genital mutilation. A man needs only to pull his foreskin back and use soap to be fully hygienic. Second, you’d be better off leaving your third argument as forgotten, since it’s also a total sham.

From cancer.org: “ In the past, circumcision (removing the foreskin on the penis) was suggested as a way to lower penile cancer risk. This was based on studies that reported much lower penile cancer rates among circumcised men than among uncircumcised men. But in some studies, the protective effect of circumcision wasn't seen after factors like smegma and phimosis were taken into account. Still, some experts have said that circumcision prevents penile cancer.

In the US, the risk of penile cancer is low even among uncircumcised men. Men who aren’t circumcised can help lower their risk of penile cancer by practicing good genital hygiene.”

In other words, there is no clear indication genital mutilation can help to reduce penile cancer rates, and the most sure way to do say is simply to practice good hygiene (which uncircumcised men are fully capable of).

I am very confused what position you’re trying to take on this. Are you defending this barbaric practice that became widely practiced in modern America to shame and reduce masturbation? Or are you saying it’s stupid for men to speak against it because in your all-knowing judgement, male genital mutilation does not quite win the award for most barbaric practice of genital mutilation, and therefore only the biggest victims of this barbaric practice are allowed to be outraged and anything else is just stupid. Which is it?

The vast majority of medical organizations in the world with a policy on circumcision are outright against it. Including:

Swedish Pediatric Society (they outright call for a ban)

Royal Dutch Medical Association calls it a violation of human rights, and calls for a "strong policy of deterrence." this policy has been endorsed by several other organizations:

The Netherlands Society of Youth Healthcare Physicians,

The Netherlands Association of Paediatric Surgeons,

The Netherlands Association of Plastic Surgeons,

The Netherlands Association for Paediatric Medicine,

The Netherlands Urology Association, and

The Netherlands Surgeons’ Association.

College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia

This procedure should be delayed to a later date when the child can make his own informed decision. Parental preference alone does not justify a non-therapeutic procedure.... Advise parents that the current medical consensus is that routine infant male circumcision is not a recommended procedure; it is non-therapeutic and has no medical prophylactic basis; current evidence indicates that previously-thought prophylactic public health benefits do not out-weigh the potential risks..... Routine infant male circumcision does cause pain and permanent loss of healthy tissue. |

Australian Federation of Aids organizations They state that circumcision has "no role" in the HIV epidemic. The German Association of Pediatricians called for a ban recently.

The German Association of Child and Youth Doctors recently Attacked the AAP's claims, saying the benefits they claim, including HIV reduction, are "questionable," and that "Seen from the outside, cultural bias reflecting the normality of non-therapeutic male circumcision in the US seems obvious, and the report’s conclusions are different from those reached by doctors in other parts of the Western world, including Europe, Canada, and Australia." The AAP was recently attacked by the President of the British Association of Paediatric Urologists because the evidence of benefit is weak, and they are promoting "Irreversible mutilating surgery."

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan has taken a position against it, saying it is harmful and will likely be considered illegal in the future, given the number of men who are angry that it was done to them and are becoming activists against it.

The President of the Saskatchewan Medical Association has said the same (link above).

The Central Union for Child Welfare “considers that circumcision of boys that violates the personal integrity of the boys is not acceptable unless it is done for medical reasons to treat an illness. The basis for the measures of a society must be an unconditional respect for the bodily integrity of an under-aged person… Circumcision can only be allowed to independent major persons, both women and men, after it has been ascertained that the person in question wants it of his or her own free will and he or she has not been subjected to pressure.”

Australian Medical Association Has a policy of discouraging it, ad says "The Australian College of Paediatrics should continue to discourage the practice of circumcision in newborns."

Australian College of Paediatrics:

"The possibility that routine circumcision may contravene human rights has been raised because circumcision is performed on a minor and is without proven medical benefit. Whether these legal concerns are valid will probably only be known if the matter is determined in a court of law .....Neonatal male circumcision has no medical indication. It is a traumatic procedure performed without anaesthesia to remove a normal and healthy prepuce."|

Royal Australasian College of Physicians

Some men strongly resent having been circumcised as infants. There has been increasing interest in this problem, evidenced by the number of surgical and non-surgical techniques for recreation of the foreskin.|

ON that note, 74% of Australian doctors overall believe circumcision should not be offered, and 51% consider it abuse. Circumcision used to be common in Australia, but the movement against it spread faster there than America, where rates continue to drop.

A letter by the South African Medical Association said this:

The matter was discussed by the members of the Human Rights, Law & Ethics Committee at their previous meeting and they agreed with the content of the letter by NOCIRC SA. The Committee stated that it was unethical and illegal to perform circumcision on infant boys in this instance. In particular, the Committee expressed serious concern that not enough scientifically-based evidence was available to confirm that circumcisions prevented HIV contraction and that the public at large was influenced by incorrect and misrepresented information. Royal Australasian College of Surgeons This one is a detailed evaluation of the arguments in favor of circumcision, They note that during one of the recent trials in Africa, the researchers claimed there was no loss of sexual satisfaction, when in fact there was. But the RACS called them out:

"Despite uncircumcised men reporting greater sexual satisfaction, which was statistically significant, Kigozi et al (2008) concluded that adult male circumcision does not adversely affect sexual satisfaction or clinically significant function in men." In general, they discuss how there's no evidence to support it.

The Norwegian Council of Medical Ethics states that ritual circumcision of boys is not consistent with important principles of medical ethics, that it is without medical value, and should not be paid for with public funds.

The Norwegian Children’s Ombudsman is opposed as well.

The Denmark National Council for Children is also opposed.

And recently, the politically appointed Health minister of Norway opposed a ban on circumcision, yet the ban was supported by the Norwegian Medical Association, the Norwegian Nurses Organization, the Norwegian Ombudsman for Children, and the University of Oslo.

Swedish Association for Sexuality Education published this guide that talks about circumcision, in a pretty negative way. not an official advocacy policy but it makes it fairly clear. it also mentions the frenulum is sexually sensitive, and helps prevent infection by blocking fluid from the urethra; the frenulum is often removed in an infant circumcision, yet easier to leave intact if an adult is circumcised.

A right is established; a privilege is earned.

The core difference between the two is how they are acquired and treated by the government and private entities.

For example, there is the freedom of speech. No test or exam is required to exercise or acquire this right. There is the privilege of driving a car, which is earned by passing the required exams necessary to earning said license.

The use of the word “privilege” in today’s world is a misnomer; you cannot earn a privilege for being white, black, Asian, or any other race, at least not from a governmental standpoint. If that does happen, it is discriminatory and should be struck down as such. A good example of this would be Affirmative Action, which shows favoritism toward minorities for no reason but skin color.

Men do not have privilege for possessing a penis anymore than women do for having a vagina; what we see misclassified as privilege in regards to that is sexism redefined as to justify one’s bigotry and how it is presented in society. When women receive lesser sentences for the same crimes, that is sexism. When women have a thousand domestic violence shelters, and feminists protest the construction of a male oriented domestic violence shelter, that is sexism.

The real problem is allowing words to be redefined as to push a specific narrative to justify bigotry, sexism, and racism under the guise of equality.

But I can sum it up better:

You cannot have privilege due to factors beyond your control. A good example is being able to run five miles; it takes training to do so, thus affording you the privilege of being able to do it.

The use of privilege in modern times is little more than a slur, used by those who think someone has advantages that aren’t really there, such as the fat person who claims thin people have “privilege” due to genetics favoring them, when in truth it’s healthy choices, diet, and exercise that allow healthy people to maintain physically fit bodies. They use it to silence opposing views; white privilege isn’t a real thing, but the phrase is used, and successfully, to shut down arguments.

it's lacy green. IIRC she used to be a hard core feminist but shifted to being more moderate and also started dating chris raygun who was sort of an anti-feminist (not anti-women's right but against radfem nonsense)
