C'mon peeps. Lets give the mods a break. Yeah, sometimes a post is questionable. Yeah there are some bona fide, card-carrying mysoginists here. In the end, the voting buttons DO make a difference.

But y'know what makes the biggest difference? Your ability to think critically. Here's an example: I sub to /r/TheRedPill (bring those downvotes) but not to join the anti-women circlejerk. The fundamental basis of it was originally to fill the gender vacuum left for men as feminism redefined power dynamics. The basis of feminism was to restore power to women not take it away from men but it went wrong and as a result, many men felt powerless (see some of the self-posts here about being assulted by a woman and having no recourse). Being subbed to the red pill doesn't mean I agree with half of the bullshit or sentiment but I do gain value from the idea that a man can be powerful in his impeccability (fit, wealthy, learned, sexually valuable etc). Unfortunately, power for all not just the guys who wield it properly.

In the end, I take the good bits, ignore the trash and downvote the arseholes. We can do the same here.

It's not up to the mods to decide if the content is good, only if it isn't suitable at all. They're not the morality police, just people trying to keep a bunch of redditors from completely fucking a small sub.
