OP are you going to respond to us or are you just going to flirt and seek validation with the men at askMRP?

We give up on OPs that don't respond; there's no reason to keep giving advice to someone who isn't there. The men on MRP are always eager to talk to women though.

Usually their stories give good value for men, kind of like forensics on a train crash :)
Was actually expecting a 'surprise' pregnancy, saving the best, or so many different sidebar examples. In this one, just megabitch for 9 months... so disappointing. I miss vampiresquidina.

I miss vampiresquidina.
LOL!
There's a lot more to the story that she isn't telling us; her posts and all of her comments are extremely vague. I've rarely seen this level of hedging details; she's keeping something back that is pivotal to her situation. Most likely it's something that would cause everyone to jump all over her ass.

If i had to guess (from what she wrote):
Gubby was so excited for kids in the future, so she decided to stop taking BC and just see what happens (had plan B twice beforehand, why stop now? no real answer, just up and decided at 27... guessing early wall?) I can't be sure, but I expect a surprise someday baby was today... and he was to 'man up'. May be onto something, because I was called 'vicious' on that comment.
And I've yet to see someone so fucking bitchy as to not garner a hate-fuck status at the very least... Though she says it's always on the table and often. not hate fucky, but not affectionate. Which doesn't make sense to me. unless he's basically demoted her to plate status, or baby momma status, and is around 'for the kids'. Theres two stories, jeckle and hyde, and they make no sense.
I should have listened to you, and just noped the fuck out of it. Hope you don't mind me hanging out in the sub for a bit... See if there's anything that's worth salvaging for the boys on this one.

Also, my pregnancy was a very rough time for us relationship-wise. I know this had something to do with it.
This stands out to me the most out of everything in your post, and I get the feeling that you're trying to downplay it. What were these relationship issues? How did you contribute to them?
From your MRP post:
I did some pretty dumb stuff. Some screaming, begging for attention, demanding that he explain things NOW, crying hysterically before some trips of his because of a fight the night before.
So, you were bitchy, hysterical, and disrespectful to your husband; and this in turn put him off sex with you. A negative, disrespectful woman isn't attractive no matter what she looks like!
It sounds like he then turned to porn, which has become a bit of a habit, plus I'm sure you're BOTH dealing with the stress of a new baby (and maybe on his part, the shock of seeing you give birth).
But I have tried almost everything I can think of, short of total separation, to right any wrongs and to do my part to do what I can to make the relationship good again.
Good! My advice to you is to keep at it. Keep being sweet, respectful, and available. Your issue didn't develop overnight, and it probably won't be resolved overnight either. You say you're physically attractive, and that's great. Now work on being chill, fun, and pleasant for your husband to be around... become a more appealing option than the porn and fantasies he's watching.

I got a lot more out of her additional info in her MRP xpost than I did here.
I think this guy lost his wife goggles.

When couples are in a long relationship, the man doesn't really notice the wife aging or her physical faults mainly due to the fact of seeing her every day and the difference being very gradual. Think about how when you haven't seen someone in a while, their aging is much more noticeable, but when you see them regularly it's not as readily apparent.
When wife goggles are smashed by being a shrew or by bad behavior then the man takes a good hard look at the wife and suddenly notices the aging and physical flaws.

I suggest putting him first, STFUing if you want to snap at him, and reducing your expectations for a while. Treat him the way you want him to treat you: kiss him, snuggle, be cheerful and loving.
It will take a while before he trusts that you have changed, and it will take as long for you to actually change. You will slip up, and it will seem like you take two steps backwards for every step forward, but if you treat him in a very loving way, he will likely return the affection.

http://marriedmansexlife.com/2012/12/relative-vs-absolute-sex-rank-and-the-forty-year-old-wife/
It is the view that a married or committed man has of his wife/partner. He sees her through a kind of rose colored glasses, in that he isn't just seeing her objective attractiveness ranking. If she has been a good partner, she stays attractive to him mostly indefinitely. It usually gets discussed relative to female aging, but not always.
Sometimes something dramatic happens and those goggles get ripped off his face. The romantic/hormonal/bonded haze disappears, and he sees what is objectively a flawed woman. Those flaws seem glaring now.

If you know that your pregnancy has something to do with the problem, it might be good to add some details about it. :)
Ditto for this. What have you tried?

Please update your post so that it contains this information. Include the parts that you glossed over - the pregnancy and the attempts you have made to improve. Thanks!

She posted (then deleted) this same post in MRP. The one she put in AskMRP is still there. I called her out on this same thing, though your forum has specific rules for it... specifically I called her out on this:
Basically, she needs to own her shit. The post has a lot of soft blame and self-aggrandizing in her question, but nothing that specifically spells out what she has done in error; I can't believe HE is 100% at fault.
I might recommend that we institute a set of pre-post rules in AskMRP like this. It's a good idea and gets the BS out of the way quickly.

Thank you so much for letting me know, it is beyond annoying when people do this sort of thing! You are spot on she is avoiding all responsibility and being vague about crucial information we need to properly advise her. We've had success with the advice format (whenever people actually use it lol), feel free to use our wiki page as inspiration :)

I am going to make a recommendation.
Red pill advice for men is 'less talk, more action.' Now, clearly action is called for here. But I think he needs to hear some words from you, too.
You are going to need to be deeply respectful of him. That is easy to say, but difficult to do if you have spent years focused on yourself and your own needs and haven't ever thought about what he needs, as a man, from his partner in life. What does he need to feel that he picked the right first mate? Not, how can I get the sex better again. That follows.
The next part is a gesture, and where the "talk" part comes in. Find a time where you are alone, and can be uninterrupted for a while. Wear something that you know he finds you particularly beautiful in. Ideally he won't be exhausted, and not emotional.
What you need here is a symbol of repentance and of submission. If he is seated, you could sit at his feet and lay your head on his knee. You could even kneel (use judgement.)
Then you tell him that you understand you put him through pain, that you did not act befitting a wife, and that you are truly sorry. Depending on your dynamic, ask for guidance on what he needs from his woman. He may not have a lot of answers at that time.
Then the real work of examining the way you speak to him and putting him first, day in and day out, comes.
Pointing out your bad behavior is not bashing you; no one here was out of line or rude. Your behavior on both askMRP and here is one of the main reasons that your marriage is in the shape it is. You get defensive, and when people spell out why your behavior is bad, you call it "bashing" you and you call them "vicious".
Ten to one, you act this same exact way at home, and that is the reason your husband treats you like a sex doll. He shows no affection because you bristle and get defensive at every little thing. He doesn't have affection for you in the state that you are in.
Once you lose your victim attitude, you will be able to start healing your marriage; until then it will continue to crumble.

Testosterone levels tend to drop in men after age 30. It's possible that he has lost interest and begun relying on porn because he can't physically get or keep an erection without the extra stimulation. Have you noticed any other symptoms such as feeling more tired, depressed, low motivation, or weight gain? Might be something to look into. It is a fairly easy fix and can make a big difference!

It sometimes gives value. Usually they bring up some obvious AWALT behaviour that can apply to some dudes wife at home, or see a hamster rationalization in real time.
Sometimes it's just vampirequidina, looking for an army.
In this case, I think it's a decent example of a woman hamstering all her shitty decisions, taking ownership of nothing. Not sure how to give that back to the boys, but it's in there somewhere.

Yes thank you for letting him know! I think we actually used to have a bot on the old sub, as of right now all the information is on the wiki and we just expect everyone to read it before participating.
Please familiarise yourself with the subreddit rules; we have an entire section on guidelines for male participation. It is assumed that every participant is a woman, since this is RedPillWives and primarily a space for likeminded women. We welcome men who add value to the subreddit and they are encouraged to comment and post, but if they want everyone to always know they are male they can update their flair so that it displays their gender.
Prior to instituting this rule we would get a lot of posts with things like "Man here!", "Sorry I'm a guy but...", "Penis alert!", and other annoying phrases. An RP comment stands on its own. If you have solid advice for a woman (or man) there is no need to ask to be pardoned for your gender. If you are telling a story about a girlfriend or wife that is fine, people can pick up on who you are by the context clues given in your comment.

Well, this is a crappy situation. I'm sorry you're feeling that way.
I have a few questions but it might help if you edit your OP using our "How to ask for advice" template found here.
Mainly I'm curious how passionate were you when you were dating/engaged and when you feel the shift was made. I can't speak to post pregnancy as it's not something I have experienced but I'm familiar with the ups and downs of passion in a LTR. It's super sucky when you feel unwanted in a sexual way, especially if you use to feel wanted. Has anything major, other then the baby, happened in his life? New job, diet, etc?

Sounds like this guy watches (or has watched) way too much porn. That decreases the excitement from conventional sex. Also, it frames all sex as fucking and not love making. Kissing is not necessary if all you are doing is fucking.
[–]CuilRunnings 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I've experienced problems like this in relationships before. Porn is certainly correlated, but I'm not sure if it necessarily is the core of the issue. In my experience, I have acted like this at times when looking back, it seems like my partner seems to "expect" sex as something that I do to her, and less of sex as something that flows naturally from mutual flirtation. Feeling like sex is expected of me puts me a completely different frame of mind than when I'm unsure exactly if sex will happen and when both parties feel like they have to "earn" it as if it is a reward. I'm weird though, so I wouldn't feel comfortable suggesting this is the case here, only something to think about.
