I’ve been reading Atomic Habits (excellent book by the way). I’m working on building particular habits. For example I don’t like that I’m on my phone so much. So I bought a separate alarm clock. That way I can charge my phone overnight somewhere besides my room.

Another thing is logging my meals. I am setting out my journal on the table. My habit I am building is every time I sit down to eat, I will open my notebook.

I want to be more open and honest with my spouse. I want to share my feelings more with my spouse. Exploring my feelings and communicating them is introspective for me so I understand myself better, and my spouse better understands me as well. Communicating feelings is not about attaching or accusing but about discovery, understanding, and lots of times letting go.

No added sugar this month. Focus on the gym, getting myself into a job that I enjoy and helps me feel secure/fulfills my basic needs (so I can be more confident in myself in my search for a life partner.)

I want to improve my character and interpersonal skills, too. Will try to improve my habit of reading and journaling to improve myself.

After the job part is achieved, I want to throw myself into new activities to enrich myself and meet new people. I've lived in the same city for almost two years and still don't have very many friends.

I'm reading Fascinating Womanhood and am wanting to try the principles in my marriage. I heard about it from The Darling Academy YouTube. I looked at the reviews and it seems like a book that you either love or hate, but it really seems to have transformed a lot of marriages. My husband and I have a good marriage but it could always be better and I am taking my role being home as an opportunity to grow into a great wife (and soon to be mom). The women who hate it just don't seem to understand how men work and think it's manipulative but from what I've read so far, I really don't think it is.
