I don’t think she sounds rude at all. As a RPW myself, I actually agree with about 99% of what she is saying. She comes from the same perspective that we have here as a community, that if you want to look good and feel good for MEN (not for society’s new standard of what looking good means i.e. SJW) then you gotta hit the gym and put in the effort to do so.

I believe that her tone is one of the things that people find appealing about RP.

No one has any problem telling me that I look underweight (I am not). People have asked my husband if I'm anorexic (I am not). My doctor didn't believe I had an underactive thyroid because I was thin (in spite of the test results).

All of this is ok to say because I'm thin. Just like it's ok to say things about men that would be sexist if the roles were reverse. RP springs from these double standards and avoidance of reality. Her tone is harsh, but for people who have been doing the work to keep themselves thin and healthy all along - it's refreshing to have someone snap back at the HAES movement and to not give undeserved coddling and validation.

But I also didn't think anything was mean just blunt.

Oh and also? The girl.in the picture is the same one who got into a (mostly one-sided) Twitter war against the British ministry of health because of their billboards warning against the high risk of cancer that obese people have.

I agree with the post.

People often use "conditions" as an excuse, but it only accounts for a rather small amount of weight gain.

You don't need money for a gym membership. You don't need workout clothes and weights. You can do sets during commercial breaks and intros/outros while watching TV. There are sites like darebee.com. There are free workout videos on youtube. You can borrow DVDs from the library.

You enjoy eating? Most people do. Just eat smaller portions. Learn to count your calories. Balance your activity with food.

You have to get tired of your own shit and take responsibility for yourself.

There are fat people who are getting fatter with "I have (insert problem/condition) that's why I'm fat" and there are fat people getting skinnier who weigh their portions, track their macronutrient intake, have calorie targets, research diet/biology, and accept slow change.

These groups generally don't overlap.

If you're fat and you don't know the above, yeah, it's your fault: you're trying to control a process that you don't even care enough to learn about.

Not harsh at all. True, and I think actually encouraging for women. Like. How much better does it feel to take control.of your accountability for your physical health? I think it gives overweight women the "tough love" encouragement to make changes for themselves & try to break out of being a false victim.
