I posted about my feelings of insecurity a few months ago, and things have quieted down since then. I've been learning how to tame my stubborn, unruly hamster. We have good days and bad days, but overall, it's been fine.

But anyway. My parents tried to set me up with a doctor yesterday, because they don't really approve of my man. It turns out, the doctor and I hit it off. He was very upfront and straightforward about what he was looking for in a relationship and what he could contribute, which I found appealing. After, my mom said, "he's the kind of guy you wouldn't have to worry about when you're a wife." In contrast, my man "attracts too many women" and would be someone "I would always be insecure about."

And...she's totally right. Hearing my mom say this validated my fears. I'm at my SMV peak right now, and my man treats me well. But I'm afraid that when my SMV declines gone, my man may only pay lip service to our relationship and let his eyes wander. Or, a girl will persistently throw herself at him, and he'll indulge.

When we first started dating, my man said that he's the type to make plans and then change those plans, and I'm afraid that in the future, our relationship will end up being one of the plans he made and then decided to change. What should I do, RPW? Am I making a mountain out of a molehill?
