Ugh- sorry I just wanted to share my feelings. Has anyone ever felt completely defeated in the kitchen department...

My man is 10 yrs older (not that it matters, in this scenario it does) and most of his adult life he had to learn to cook for himself and his friend roommate lol so he is a pretty legit chef! I am MX woman born and raised and came here for college. I know how to make the basics, but in my family you only do the 'little stuff' until you marry and you become a full blown 'woman' per se and have to take care of your house. So my training was...limited haha I just hung up from crying with my godmother on the phone because my tortillas wouldnt puff and I want nothing else than to serve my man a delicious mexican meal!!

It sucks! Because he does a lot of the cooking but I wish I just was a better cook...I will try again tomorrow, and he is super nice about me trying and learning but ughhh ugh

How did you all learn, how was the process, did you ever feel inadequate?! haha cooking is such a big part of my culture as a woman that it totally makes me feel unable. Especially right now since i am recovering from cosmetic surgery so im like not really able to excel in any other department meanwhile....sigh....

Please let me know how y'all survived through the learning process!!
