Basically, we have to make a man's life better with us than without. So... conive, create niches for ourselves and evolve an ability to see things he cant. Develop a type of emotional violence to balance his physical violence.

Evolution doesnt always happen with purpose, sometimes the purpose is what we percieve it to be.

Women can read body language far better; is thus a tool designed to manipulate men, or is it (more likely IMHO) an adaptation for mother-infant communication that has the side effect of allowing manipulation?

We are weaker than men physically. Our voices are softer, we are not equal athletically, etc. If you're getting really basic survivalist here, the smaller animal has to develop ways to maintain power and safety. Not to say that men are dangerous to us by nature, but just physically are dangerous to animals etc, and it's natural to factor this in when assessing human interaction.
So instead of brute force, we have charm, subtle influence, etc.
This is all compounded on pregnancy. We need triple the usual protection, and influencing a man to be good and safe to you, while being violent, if needed, to attackers, is important.

Unlike feminists, I don't have issues with any of this or see it as a sign of one sex being inferior or greater.

Men need women for sex and offspring and other things they can't/won't do for themselves. Women want men for protection, dominance and fertility, and provider/take care instincts. Attraction is a balance of sexual attraction/compatability and agency - what you can offer one another. Manipulation is a short game approach to validation. Long term, you cannot manipulate a REAL man to your will. He will see right through it. Problem is, today most men enjoy any attention they don't call women out on lies (manipulation) because it is easier than the truth.

People are generally manipulative, man or woman. This doesn't necessarily rise to the level of abusive behavior though. A small more timid man could act deceptively to get what he wants just as a woman whose stronger than others can just use brute force. It just so happen that most women are small than most men and so they have a life time of learning more subtle ways of getting what they want.

Like most everything involving humans, its part biological and part learned social behavior.

I blame the rise of feminism. It has told men they are worthless and women are equal without being such...entitlement. Simply put, women get away with what they do because most men allow them to. They allow it due to social pressure. Ask a woman to be accountable of her actions (like I did for a mod.at red pill wives) and you are ostracized/banned male or female.

Men and women are sexually dimorphic, men are generally bigger, stronger, and smarter than women. The only way they can compete with men is through sexual, emotional, and social manipulation, similar to how the only way a toddler/child can control the behavior of their parents.
