I've seen great posts on why the stfu method is important, which I think is good advice for everyone. I wanted to ask some of the more mature users how they do it!

I'm mostly an introvert, so I value quietness and alone time. When i'm in big groups I contribute, but its a normal amount. However, I notice that sometimes when i'm around people I love and care about I just ramble the fuck on because I have so many things to tell them. I've noticed this is sometimes ok with other girl friends that talk a lot. But how can I learn to shut my mouth when I'm around my (future) SO or his friends or people in general? Do you think meditation would help? I definitely have a little anxiety and assume people don't like me. I read that insecure people aren't the best listeners...

Edit: Thanks for all the insight guys! Also someone actually made a comment that was spot on exactly how I felt but I think they may have deleted it. It was about Marilyn Monroe or something.
