Ask him about himself and be an active listener. Throw in some compliments and ask follow up questions. Guys like it when they don’t feel the pressure to be the ones to keep the conversation going.

Beyond that and smiles/eye contact, keep in mind that your goal is to be warm, inviting, and engaging. Being an active listener is a great start. Men (and people in general) love compliments and a light tickling of their ego 😂. Be enthusiastic with your responses. Too cool for school sends men running away. Happy and cheerful will make him into putty.

If you sense that there’s mutual attraction and chemistry there, a great IOI (indicator of interest) is physical touch, which the men over at TRP call kino. Now this doesn’t mean you start rubbing his thigh out of nowhere! It starts with something casual, like placing your hand on his bicep when you’re laughing at a funny joke of his (also laughing at his jokes helps 😂). Tell him you like his shirt and touch the sleeve of it or if you’re close enough, briefly play with a button. My go-to flirting move from my single days that works EVERY DAMN TIME is to tell him, “whoa you have such big hands!”, and then you compare hand sizes by putting them palm to palm. You make him feel big and manly, you touch each other in an intimate/romantic (but still PG!) place, and the sparks and butterflies should be flying.

All of these IOIs on your behalf are what will give him the confidence to make a bigger move on you. He’ll be more likely to initiate a hug or a goodbye kiss than if you spent the entire date at arm’s length and never touching each other once, because that’s a huuuuuge jump to make.

With dating apps being dead, or full of duds people have to learn how to flirt. It's an art and if you're already projecting failure, well that's going to be a long road lol

You don't need a 'game plan' you have to be present and listen attentively, if the guy talks a lot. If he doesn't you want to ask deep questions to get him to open up.

Guys are not complicated.

I'm someone who is unfortunately a little too friendly with strictly platonic friends vs. when I'm around the hot guy I'm interested in. Smile, compliment, touch him light if you can. But by God, flatter that man's ego. I say a prayer and mentally rehearse how I'm going to compliment the guy before I talk to him rofl. Keep practicing.

Also, one thing that may help is watching old TV Shows and classic movies that have really feminine women. Watch the way they inflect their voices and bat their eyes at their love interests. I find myself imagining... what would Rita Hayworth do in this situation?
