There are a ton of tutorials online for basically everything. I would start with finding a simple makeup routine that works for you (even if it’s just a bit of mascara and a tinted lip balm) and a flattering hairstyle. YouTube has a ton of good tutorials for beginners for hair and makeup. The Youtuber Mrs. Midwest has a lot of really good videos about the smaller details of femininity, how things like posture etc can help you present as more feminine.

One really easy thing to start with is work on incorporating more dresses and skirts into your wardrobe. If this isn’t your style, you can still be feminine without them, but I find that they are such a strong and effortless signal of femininity.

Start in one end and don’t make yourself overwhelmed! Femininity comes from within, a gentle and nurturing spirit and a soft demeanor will make the most rugged-looking woman appear a lot more feminine. I’d suggest starting with grooming: establish an easy-to-do-AND-remember skin care routine, a simple 5-minute makeup you can do consistently every day, and learning to do some overnight curls. I love curling my hair but don’t have 30 minutes to spend every morning, so I let my curiosity guide me and now I’ve developed a system where my soon to be hip long hair can be curled in less than five minutes. Its a variant on the bathrobe curls, which you can google. But I use a silk scarf for extra shine :) A busy homemaker doesn’t always have time to spend an hour every morning looking pretty, but she has a good base to stand on and systems in place to make the whole process easier. So start eating the elephant one bite at a time and give yourself several months for each step of you need to! It’s a learning process that will continue your entire life, which I would say is the best part of being a woman! 💕

I have zero idea what to do with a curling iron and never knew it was prerequisite for feminity as it’s not.

If your hair is longer wash it, half dry it and plait it before you go to bed.

You can be feminine and have tattoos, they may not be for everyone, but they are part if you now. Don’t worry about them IMO.

My mom never taught me to use a curling iron (and many other things she was too busy being a drug addict) so I've never used one either. Tiktok can help. Reddit can help. YouTube can sometimes help. But if you really want her help you're just gonna have to bite the bullet and explain your situation

You would be surprised how many women share these sentiments.

(Two of my ex gfs were largely devoid of feminine influence in their lives. Another grew up around dudes at rodeos. )

If your friend is that good, she will take your request as a compliment.

Look for a mentor who’s ready & willing to teach! I like Mrs. Midwest and Divine femininity queen on YouTube. There’s plenty of hair tutorials on YouTube just search curl tutorial and your hair type. Tattoos don’t rob you of your femininity! I’m sure your tattoos are gorgeous
